AW: Baby Pics

Here are some pics of my little hairy monkey Big Smile

The hair is definitely from Nick.  I was born bald and didn't have real hair until I was almost 3 years old.  I hope it stays!

OMG she has at least 5 different outfits. LOL.  I can't wait until she's a bit bigger so she can wear them.

We're doing well.  She does really well sleeping in her crib at night.  Up every 2-2 1/2 hours to feed, but she goes right back down.  It helps that I pump a bottle for Nick to feed her once in the middle of the night so I can get some sleep.  Fingers crossed it continues!  It's definitely an adjustment though.  I actually have to make a point to remember to eat.  If I take a nap when Renee naps, and I don't wake up until 1:30 in the afternoon and she needs to eat, by the time all is said and done with that it's 2:30, and I need to wash bottles, and let the dog out, I forget about feeding myself.  I'm sure it will get better though when there's a little more of a schedule.

Houston's tired and her schedule is out of whack because I'm home everyday now, but she is doing really good.  She doesn't really pay the baby much attention.  She pretty much sniffs her and moves on.  She does enjoy laying on the the floor when we feed her or change her.  It's pretty cute.  We try really hard to give her attention.  I make a point to play with her for a few minutes and give her a good stratching everyday.

  • Oh my gosh!  Love it!!  She'll be able to donate to locks of love in no time!  Glad everything is going well!!!  Keep us updated.

  • Holy smokes, you weren't kidding when you said was born with a full head of hair.

What a cutie! Be sure to take care of yourself. If you don't eat properly, your supply may be affected, making it hard to BF. Be sure to keep plenty of healthy snacks around the house so you can eat while you nurse.

  • She is so adorable!

  • She's a keeper for sure. Congrats again!
  • Oh my goodness, she is adorable!  I love the pic with the Gator...it is almost as big as her.Smile  I agree, it was sooo difficult to remember to eat!  I had the same problem.  When I did eat good though, I had a lot more energy.  Good luck in getting into the swing of things with that.  Sounds like your husband is really helpful!  That is awesome that he is taking one of the night feedings.  My DH did the same thing and it was sooo helpful for my sanity.

Ha! This is so true! I don't think I've ever seen so much hair on a newborn. Very happy for you, Wop, and I hope the adjustment period continues going as smoothly as possible.

  • Wow!  I was prepared for thick hair, but I have never seen a newborn with hair that long!!  Are you sure that's not an SNL baby toupee? ;)image

She is a beautiful baby, WOP.  I'm glad the transition is going well.  If you put a small bag of nuts or other snacks near your nursing chair, it might be helpful.  I know those first few weeks, you're concerned with which hand holds what in which nursing hold, but soon it will be second nature.

And aren't you amazed at how bad you need water all the time?  I mean when BFing, your body REALLY lets you know that you need to drink!
