I wrote this in the "running" post below, but I thought I would page you so you didn't miss it.
The BF and I will be running the Gruene 10K! Maybe you can meet him. 
I have only been to Gruene once and I thought it was fun. Have you ever attended this race before?

I have not even ever been to Gruene before, but we drove through New Braunfels on the motorcycle and I picked up some info, and decided I wanted to do it. Some of my friends will be there as well, plus I'm doing some bridal portraits there with a client whose future husband loves the place : )
I'm going up on Thursday, so I hope to be able to mill around and see the sights before the race. I have to come back pretty early on Saturday because it's Claire's first homecoming.
I had really hoped to be able to try and run the whole thing, but had a stupid back injury that kept me from training for a long time... then I just didn't get on the ball and get my butt out there after that. I will definitely finish, even if I have to walk most of it!!!
When are you guys heading up there? I'd love to meet him!

We are currently trying to decide when we want to head up there. I tried to find some dog-friendly hotels, but the ones I found in the area got horrible reviews. So, it will depend on if/what days are good for my neighbors to watch them.
We might even drive up Saturday morning before the race and then head to Austin afterwards.
Although, I would like to go to the Gruene Dance hall, so we will most likely drive up Friday after work and head home sometime Saturday afternoon.
