different companies or different positions? i.e. do promotions (with different titles, that you could get hired as....) count as a separate job?

Grown up jobs?
I've been at 4 companies (albeit, one was only for 3 weeks till I realized that they were crazy and I made a huge mistake taking that job), but have had 6 jobs at the 4 companies.

Which seems like a lot, but I was moving every few years,
how many companies have you worked for? lol. i didn't think this would be that hard! sorry i posted and ran, i got busy!
i've worked for:
coldstone, target, uwmc, chipotle, forza, emerald downs, FSI. so 7.
i could live off of chipotle.

i've worked with 4 companies.
company A i had 4 positions
company B i had 2 positions
company C i had 1 position
company D i had 2 positions
so 4 companies, 9 positions. company A was a part time job, though..so we can dis include that if we want to make it 3 companies, 5 positions.

i love their steak. yum. yeah working for chipotle is bad. they pay you during your lunch break and give you as much food as you want to eat. for free. but you just can't take it home. it's pretty amazing. that was fun job. omg, i had SOOO many part time jobs during hs and college!
Since I started college (I didn't work in HS) I have worked at 3 places:
1) Company A - 4 positions (all PT)
2) Company B - 1 position
3) Company C - 1 position (my current job)
I don't like switching jobs, once I find a company I like I stick around until I'm unhappy with the pay-rate and know I can get more $$$.

Now Ophthalmic Tech
This is over a period of almost 15 years although the last 2 have taken up the last 5... I was a job hopper when I was younger

Meh. Here, I'll make you feel better and list some of mine
Part Time jobs: Old Navy, 2 at PLU, Banana Republic, Tacoma School of the Arts, Shipping Manager for Indie Production Company, 3 different temp companies (9 total)
Full Time jobs: 2 art companies, printing company (3)
I had my car breakdown once right in front of Westlake Center on my way home and I had to get out and push it into a garage. In full Elf gear.
The Santa I worked with was a total creeper too...
These are very traumatic memories that are coming up.

I have worked for 3 companies. I had three different positions within one of those companies.
2010: 41 books, 2011: 31 books, 2012: 100 books
High School/College
1. craft store
2. mortgage co.
3. mortgage co.
4. clerk at law firm
Law School:
lots of internships: Judge, non-profit, public defender
Grown Up:
1. public defender (3 different divisions, 1 promotion) -- 6 years

I think I have been a job hopper too.....but that is soon to be over once I'm finished with my degree.
In my life I have had 11 jobs? I have been a nanny for the past 3ish years, but I have been with 3 families.
I have worked at McD's in HS, a daycare in HS, in a customer service position at a copy/mail store, a server/waitress, in direct sales, as a barista (which I LOVE), and as a nanny.
Real job I've only worked for one company.
If you add in cashier stuff and school jobs, I've worked for four different employers.
