My DS and I are taking the train to NYC next week and originally I was planning to just drive into Union Station and park there till we came home on Friday, but not only will that be a bit expensive, I also really stink at driving/navigating in DC. We actually went there this morning to drop DH off and it was a bit of disaster with me driving. DH thinks parking at Franconia-Springfield and taking the metro to Union Station would be a great alternative for me, especially since I will be picking DS up from his grandparent's house in Springfield that morning before we go. So, anyway, I can see on the website they have about 15 spots set aside for long term (up to 10 days) parking...that doesn't seem like a lot of spots to me. Does anyone know if there are typically spaces available?
