Who gets a flu shot?

I've gotten them before but I haven't done one the last 2 years.  I survived the swine flu epidemic without it (the one where our school shut down early for summer).  I had the flu once in high school.

I guess I feel like superwoman now and don't really need it despite being around children germs all day.  I'll probably get the flu this year now that I said that but anyhoo - do you get the shot?

  • The only time I got a flu shot was when I was pregnant with Nate during flu season, both because of being pregnant and because he would be born during flu season. Rodgers got the shot that year, too. Neither of us have ever had the flu. Everyone in my building had the flu at some point that season, though, except me! I was able to get my shots (separate ones for reg flu and H1N1) early because of being pregnant. And I Lysol-ed frequently touched surfaces (like doorknobs) in my office every day.

Nate had a flu shot last year, but Rodgers and I did not. I guess we should all get it this year since the baby won't be old enough for it.

  • I got one last year bc I was pregnant. I had never had one before, but now I will probably continue to do so since Carly is in daycare. Ryan always gets them bc they give them for free at his work.
  • Only time I got one was when JJ was born. I've considered starting to get one every year [especially since Tricare covers it all], but the last time I had the flu was ages ago. I should get one since I have a lot of actiivty in and out of my office during flu season...hm....

  • nope - not me.

never ever get them - and I never ever get sick.

  • I got one while pregnant.

I probably won't get one this year.  If I happen to go to the doctors over flu season then maybe I will.

  • I got a mercury free one last year while pregnant and still got the flu... Twice! I normally don't get them and doubt I will get one this year, especially since I SAH now.

  • I only did it once and once was enough for me.  I was so sick from it, so I'm never going to do it agaqin.  I know people who get it every year and have good luck with them.
