anyone been to a carter's outlet? Is it worth while vs shopping sales? I want to start shopping for Eve's fall / winter wardrobe but wondering if I would get better deals shopping online at sales vs outlet shopping. But I have not been to an outlet in years and have been dying to go to the one near me.
Re: carter's outlet shopping
We have one about 40 minutes from us, but I've never been, so I'm interested in knowing the answer to your question, too.
The one thing is that a lot of outlets carry things after they have been removed from the stores--and I would think that would include mostly "out of season" stuff. You might have a harder time finding fall/winter clothing right now... seems like most would be spring/summer? I could be totally wrong.

16 read! my read shelf:
This is where I usually get the most out of the outlets. We went to the Conway one a couple weeks ago and I was able to get pants, a fleece one piece and a 6 pack of socks for the new baby for $15. Other than that, it's just a bigger selection and occasional store sales like others have mentioned.
This begs the question... what the heck is the point?
I have not shopped a lot of outlets, but I remember going to a Gap outlet a few times a few years back... and they had different stuff than what was in the store. I bought a fall jacket in the spring, etc.
I guess I will not be making the 40-minute trip to the outlet anytime soon! Ha!

Even MORE interesting is that places like Gap, BR, JCrew make things specifically FOR the outlets. It's their "Factory" stuff. So, it's less good quality (generally) to start with....but they sell it cheaper than their regular stuff so people think they are getting a great deal. I don't get it either.
My ILs live very close to a huge premium outlet and I like to go to the places where I know it's their normal stuff - just discounted. That doesn't mean I don't pop into Carter's to see if they are running a special sale.
