Is it wrong I am already thinking about Halloween??
I do this every year... There is something about Halloween that makes me happy. I love silly costumes and going out in them. Also we usually go to Oktoberfest which requires a dirndl or lederhosen.
I am looking at the website Buycostumes.com right not and they have some funny stuff. I want a She-Ra costume!! Or something that involves me wearing a mustache...
The only lame part is I have surgery on the 20th (of October) and will be on medical leave - I probably don't get to play do I?

absolutely nothing wrong with it. costco is already thinking christmas....so why not?
depends..how long is your leave for? you can always have a tame night too. drink some apple cider with me haha.

Not too early at all! I would have my house decorated already if we weren't moving sometime in the next couple of weeks!! I am a total holiday nut.
I was begggging to put my xmas tree up and decorate with with halloween stuff last weekend but Bry said "uhh...no. I am not putting it up and taking it down." Then he mentioned something about crazy prego hormones. So I punched him.

And no, not too early! I was browsing Pinterest last night and came across a costume I would LOVE to do...but it will depend on if I have time to sew it or not. Of course, looking at the expense of the beautiful dirndl I just purchased, I may have to wear that for Halloween this year. This year I'm focusing on Oktoberfest decor since it will be our 5th and finally in a house, next year will be Halloween ;-)

I always have a conference that falls over Halloween. Last year it was Cincinnati, this year it's Anaheim. I'm going to go to Disneyland for sure. I love Disneyland at Halloween.
I am not sure how mobile I will be, the surgery is on my leg. I will be off at least 2 weeks. I work on my feet for 10 hours a day and that will extend my leave.
My friend (and co-worker) says I should have people over here. I don't know how I will be feeling that far out - and it just feels wrong to play on medical leave!

Play it by ear when it gets closer. You might be too woozy to want to do anything.
I had foot surgery in '04 and the first day I was out cold on pain meds and the 2 days after I just wanted to wallow in self pity bc I couldn't move. Then one time when I started feeling better I pushed myself too hard and I was in a ton of pain. Just take it slow and listen to your body.
You could get me in the handicapped express lanes for rides, so yes.
Speaking of Halloween....I ordered this last week. I can't wait for the baby bump to be more bump-ish and not just chunky-ish. I am flying home for my baby shower over halloween weekend (since I can't fly after the second week in November) and this is just PERFECT.

so i have a confession. i unintentionally stuffed my bra the other day.
i needed tissues (i was bawling my eyes out reading a book) on the airplane...i went to the bathroom, and grabbed tissues...then decided i needed to pee. not wanting to contaminate with germs, i stuffed them in my shirt.
when i got back to my seat, the person next to me wanted to talk, so i forgot about it. i completely forgot about my tissues until i was getting undressed at the end of the night.

Sarack - there is no rule that says you have to do sexy/slutty costume!!! Personally, I tend to have a thing for complicated/quality/ accurate costumes (it's the theater in me) so I do all sorts of things!
That shirt is great!! I'll be roughly 36 weeks pregnant by then and that shirt beats dressing up as a pumpkin.
I'm ready for fall! I really want to get the house decorated.

I always have a hard time deciding on a costume. DH is oncall so he has to stay home so no cute couple costumes for me!
therickson.. do you go to oktoberfest in leavenworth? We usually do the half every year during it so we always go out drinking after!
