Lurker saying hi!

Hi, my DH and I were married on September 27th 2008 and as our 3 year anniversary approaches, I was wondering how other couples married at the same time were doing.  So, I've been lurking here for a couple of days (and on and off again over the past couple of years).Embarrassed

I have 3 children (2 boys and 1 girl).  We are a blended family, with my oldest child being from a previous relationship.  I am a stay at home mom (who will be going back to work once my youngest starts school in a couple of years).  I love to read, cook and get my hands into crafty things.

I know most of you have been friends for a while (through planning your weddings, discovering the joys and nonjoys of being a wife and mom).  I look forward to getting to know each of you and talk with you.

Re: Lurker saying hi!

  • Welcome!  Yea, we've pretty much all been around since the beginning but we're definitely open to new comers.

I have one child from my previous marriage.  She's 10.  My current husband and I have no children together.  I love to read as well.  I also recently got into crafting.  For people that know me in real life they are way thrown off by that because crafting, reading, and all that don't seem to be in my nature.

Hope to get to know you more around here.

  • Welcome!

I'm the first divorce from the Sept 08 weddings, but it's been a blessing in disguise and I couldn't be happier with where my life is right now. It's been a year in the making, but my divorce will be finalized two weeks from tomorrow. Can't wait!

I have one son from my marriage, he's 20 months old (today!) and is the light of my life.

  • Hi and welcome!  It's great to have a new face around here.

I also like to read, I'm dabbling in photography now, and I love to cook/bake.  I have a daughter who just turned 17 months old and we have two dogs, both Cocker Spaniels (Tomas & Lily), and we hope to expand our family again soon!  Oh and I do accounting at a large insurance company.

  • Hello!

I have 16 month old son, and have been a stay at home mom since April.  However, today I just accepted a part time job as a borough secretary.  I'm kinda excited to get back to work!

We also have two golden retrievers (Maggie & Charly) and spent the first part of the summer remodeling our living room and dining room.

I don't post on here near as much as I thought I would, especially since I got laid off, but I do lurk every day.  Looking forward to getting to know you!

  • Thank you for welcoming me in.  Smile

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one that has joined after the wedding happened!  I'll jump into the conversations soon.  Today, I have been busy cleaning up.  Always a fun job (ha!)

  • Hello and welcome!  We're always glad to have a new face around here!

As Kasi mentioned, many of us have been here since the pre-wedding days and have even been fortunate enough to meet others on the board.  Back in February we had a GTG in Chicago and there is another coming up in Boston.

We are an extremely supportive group, but we'll also call it like it is and give truthful answers and advice.  I love every single one of these girls for this very reason.

DH and I are expecting our first in just over 9 weeks.  After that I work full time (architect) and I keep myself busy with many other things: photography, travel, reading, cooking, curling, etc.

    Stick around!

    Welcome!

It's just DH and I at the moment.  We have an orange tabby (Troy) and a cocker spaniel (Myron).  Currently live with the in-laws and in 4 short weeks will be moving back to my hometown and in with my parents.
