I'm having my H's cousin and her BF over for dinner Friday night. I had been planning black bean veggie burgers for Friday, but now that H invited them to dinner I am not sure if that would be appealing to ppl who aren't used to it. I make good veggie burgers (thanks JennyBee for the recipes!) but I wasn't sure about having them with guests over. What do you think?

I think it sounds great - and like Enid said, a treat. Can I come? (Or have the recipe?)
Take my advice with a grain of salt though - my FSIL is apparently the fussiest eater in Britain and has reduced me to pizza, cheesy pasta and 'normal chicken' (whatever that means!!). I had grand plans of ufn things to serve, but she's shot them down. (I asked her about food because she's 19 weeks pregnant and I thought it might be nice, but opened up a can of worms...)

I don't really follow directly the recipe, but this the basic idea. I tend to change up the spices or the veggies in there depending on what we have in the kitchen. I made this one with orange bell pepper instead of green and other tweeks like that. I also look at lentil burger recipes and substitute black beans because I find them to have a bit more flavor and a nicer texture. I usually serve them with saut?ed mushrooms and onions, tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, etc.
