Suggestions DESPERATELY needed!
My principal put me in charge of an iPod project. She wants to play music instead of bells on Friday during passing time. I need songs that are middle school appropriate that the kids MIGHT want to listen to! Any and all appropriate suggestions will be considered. My principal is VERY conservative, so I'm very hesitant about what's on the list. From my iTunes, I have:
Unwritten - Natasha Beddingfield
Fireflies - Owl City
Don't Stop Believin' - Journey
Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus
You Belong with Me - Taylor Swift
Girlfriend (clean version) Avril Lavigne
Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars.
Help!!! TIA!!!

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

Re: Suggestions DESPERATELY needed!
Okay, so here are my suggestions:
Anything from Glee
Most songs by Selena Gomez and the Scene
Some Beatles songs...kids usually like the Beatles still.
Maybe some U2 mixed in there...kids can appreciate some good classic rock.
Stereo Hearts by Gym Class Heroes
Firework by Katie Perry
Hey Soul Sister by Train
Love Story by Taylor Swift
I'm a Believer by Smash Mouth
I just went to my local soft rock radio station's site and looked at their recently played list. That helped brainstorming a lot!
my read shelf:
I'm sure anything by Justin Beiber would work.
What about One Republic, Adele, Beyonce, Britney Spears...
what if you did themed-music Fridays? One day could be all songs from classic Disney cartoons, one day could be TV show theme songs, another Friday could be all 80's songs etc
and then you could also task the homerooms to help with this....each Monday one homeroom gets to come up with a list...you review their choices for appropriateness and then you're all set for Friday!
