need anniversary dinner ideas

Our 3rd anniversary is a couple of weeks (whoa, how did that happen?!).

Since it is on a Tuesday, we are not going out and we rather spend it in our new home!!

Any dinner ideas? The meal needs to be quick as we both get home late (after 6) and I do not want to eat at 8.

Dessert is covered-our anniversary cake. :-)

We are not picky but I am allergic to crab.

TIA!

Re: need anniversary dinner ideas

  • Spaghetti

Chicken Parmesan: wrap 2 chicken breasts in reynolds wrap, covering them in your favorite jar pasta sauce, cook at 350 degrees for 25 mins, uncover & sprinkle cheese over them, cook for another 5-10 mins

Italian Chicken: wrap 2 chicken breasts in reynolds wrap, covering them in your favorite italian dressing, cook at 350 degrees for 25-30 mins

    Mixed fruit salad

Veggie salad: tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, marinade in italian dressing & serve cold

  • how about a nice thick steak bbq'd on the grill, followed by the pioneer womans twice baked potatoes with a nice either green or ceasar salad to start.  oh and wine of course!

  • I usually try to make DH's favorite foods so I would just make whatever your DH likes. In our house that's crab cakes (though you're allergic), caprese salad, lasagna, lamb chops, blueberry pie, homemade ice cream, creme brulee...

ETA: He's also a huge fan of PW's crash hot potatoes.

  • My DH loves fast fancy chicken: http://www.iheartfood4thought.com/2008/01/22/fast-fancy-chicken-ala-kat/  The photos on any blog don't do it justice.  It's fancy tasting and delicious - make a side of creamy mashed potatoes and you're all set (I like PW mashed potatoes)

  • You could do a romantic picnic by candlelight in the living room too.
My favorite place on earth: The Amargosa Valley.
