Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. What all needs to be done?
We will be getting our marriage certificate in the mail soon so I was wondering what all had to be done? Do I need to get my SS card first then go with H to do the military stuff? What all does that entail? Thanks!

First off, congrats!!
Definitely get your new SSC first! Make sure you take all of your IDs with your maiden name as well as your new name because you just never know which one they will ask for. DL will be next, as well as getting enrolled in DEERS. Then you will need to decide which level of Tricare you want to have. Enrolling in DEERS will cover you through Standard. If you want to go with Prime you will go to the Tricare office and enroll. It will take effect the following month (if you enroll by the 20th of the month).
Other than that, you will just need to go through and change it on everything from bank accounts, email accounts, rewards memberships at supermarkets, phone and all other utilities that may have your name on them.

I know H knows a lot of this but you ladies have gone through it all so I figured I would ask ya'll. Hopefully we will get the marriage certificate in the mail by Friday so we can go get most of it done on Monday since H doesn't have to work. I have been told by local wives that all of the on base stuff can be taken care of in a few hours since this base is so small. I will probably wait on the bank stuff until we go back to TN in October.
