Ugh, no. I have been with DH now for 13 years and he has wanted me to learn since day 1. I'm such a procrastinator!
I've driven a few times, but only on side streets with no real traffic.
Tritto! When my brother-in-law tries to teach me on his truck I do great. When my husband tries to teach me on his truck-it's a big ol mess.
When DH was used-car shopping, he was looking for a stick everywhere. He eventually found one that he liked, and learned that it was manufactured in Florida and the previous owner had driven it out here. Apparently they just don't manufacture anything but automatics on the west coast!

I've learned how to, my first car I drove was a manual. But I am horrible at it. When E was a baby I almost got us killed stalling out in an intersection.
Never again will I drive a stinking manual!

This sounds like us. I feel kinda silly that we own three cars, two of them stick shifts, and I can't drive them. But in my defense, the pickup has a broken bench seat that doesn't adjust so I end with a huge backache after every time we practice. And dh's muscle car with tons of horsepower but no power brakes or power steering... neither one of us want me driving that!
