Things to do with kids around Leesburg/Ashburn?

I am a nanny to 3 kids in Leesburg 4, 2 and infant. Any suggestions on good parks, or other fun things I can take them to do? Preferably places not too crowded :)

Re: Things to do with kids around Leesburg/Ashburn?

  • I do not have kids so I have no idea how easy it would be to drag 3 kids to this, but there are always young kids at the farm we belong to, Great Country Farms that is outside of Leesburg.  It is really geared towards kids and has all sorts of activities to do.

  • Awesome I am definitely going to look into that! I was looking into the kidwell farm at frying pan park. It won't be easy, bc the baby is young but it's good for the older two to not be couped up all the time. Thanks so much!!
  • there are tons of playgrounds, Ida Lee Park (including a pool), and http://www.leesburganimalpark.com/

  • I love Ida Lee park esp for the younger ones - the equipment is the perfect size.  There is also Temple Hill Farm

I drove by a few weeks ago to check it out and it was under construction...I think it will be a fun place in the fall.

  • The Ashburn Library has storytimes during the week.  DD loves to go to the Ashburn Park aka Dinosaur Park:  43546 Partlow Road, Ashburn, VA.

  • I am "friends" on Facebook with  Moms Like Me - Things to with your children in the greater Dulles area - they post a lot of great local events which often seem to be free or a few bucks.  Their website is:  http://www.dullesmoms.com/

    Good Luck!
