Wendy?s Bridal notified customers this week that it would liquidate and close its outlet store at 133 Benson Street in the Reading Bridal District.
Wendy?s will continue to operate its full-priced bridal boutiques at 301 Benson Street in Reading and in Columbus.
Wendy?s opened the outlet shop in 2010 after closing its two stores in Sycamore Township and Florence and consolidating in the Reading location, said the company?s president Norman Wasserman. An overstock of dresses needed to be sold off. Now, just about 1,000 bridal gowns and bridesmaids dresses are left.
They?ll be sold today through Sunday at deeply-discounted prices. Gowns are priced between $99 and $299 and bridesmaid dresses between $25 and $180. The shop is open between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day.
