  I find that bake sales usually go over well.  You can possibly have a table set up close to the exit so people can check it out on their way home.

  As a twist to what you've mentioned already, basket bingo seems to go over well. DDs daycare is a non profit so they do a good amount of fundraising. A couple unique ones--a day where a % of your bill at a certain restaurant goes to your cause (maybe you could work this out with someplace), collecting donations of items to "sell" to a consignment store and your cause keeps the consignment money (this works well with baby/kid stuff).

  Mystery gifts- people buy tickets, you hold up the "wrapped" gift (household items, gift cards, etc.) to let people know this is the gift they can win, someone collects a ticket from each person who is interested then once the tickets are collected, you pick one out and the person wins the prize.
