BOA second inspection after Irene
We were supposed to close on Friday, but since our home inspection was before Irene, Bank of America (our buyer's bank) is sending a "hurricane inspector" to re-inspect just for storm damage. He's inspecting 35-40 houses a day. They estimate our close will be delayed a week, which I imagine means two weeks in bank time.
Anyone else in the same boat? We are lucky that we don't close on our new home for another 3 weeks plus have no storm damage, but I can't imagine how much I'd be sweating it if we had a piggy back close!

Cortlandt Place - My house blog
We were also just informed of another inspection because of Irene. So annoying!! I have no idea when we will close now....our closing has been pushed back once already! This is the never ending process!!
I have never been so happy for a process to be taking forever, I would have been a wreck owning two houses getting hit by the hurricane.
Turns out that was not the case at all because the assesor was there when we went. I think he was in the house about 10 minutes, it made me sick what little he did and got paid for
On the bright side the house was bone dry! YAY!
