I am thankful for coffee.
I am thankful that work has slowed down a little, allowing me time to shop online.
I would be even more thankful if today was Friday. Does it feel like Friday to anyone else (who isn't taking a vacation day tomorrow)?
I am thankful that my boss has been on vacation all week.
I am thankful that i'm going to to see my bff tomorrow and she doesn't know i'm coming home!
I'm thankful for my new car that I love sooooooooooooooooooo much(also thankful a tree didn't fall on it during the "hurricane")
I'm thankful for the girls trip my bff and I are taking to Boston at the end of the month!

I am thankful that today is my Friday and I leave tomorrow AM at 8 for a week at my sister's house in CA. If I don't commit murder, or hari-kari today, that is. I am bummed that John has used all of his vacation already and can't join me but I love that he said it was cheaper for me to fly to CA for a week than to sit around our house and think of projects that cost a lot of money.
As much as she drives me BATTY, I am thankful I will see my mom tomorrow for her 79th birthday. I am thankful that my sister lives nearby (she, however, is not thankful for that) and I get to stay with her, instead of at my mom's, so I can have a good vacation. (Watch for "science" experiments as we try out As Seen on TV products -- Eggies!)
I am thankful that our old CFO has come back to work today - YAY! - as our new COO. He's a great, smart, fun guy and it will be a pleasure work with/for him again.
And, I'm thankful you all humored me with the DOTD cards. I love the Nest for the great distraction from work/like it provides, and I hope you all enjoyed the stupid questions and it made the board a little more lively for you every day!

I'm thankful that DD is going to bed without a battle.
I'm thankful that the entire family is healthy.
I'm thankful for the upcoming long weekend.
Yes! It's DD's last day at daycare (so it's Friday for her), and she's going to her grandparents tomorrow for a sleepover. I can't help feeling like it's should be my Friday, too!
I'm thankful that DD slept until after 7:00 today, because I didn't get to bed until midnight.
I'm thankful that the weather is awesome outside, even if I can't be outside to enjoy it.
I'm definitely thankful for the upcoming three day weekend, even though we don't have any specific plans. Maybe not having plans is why I'm looking forward to it so much.
I'm thankful that I get to work from home today and that my job offers me some flexibility on that front.
I'm thankful that I have my awesome yoga class tonight.
I'm thankful that we (mostly) have enough.
I am thankful for coffee and the new fro-yo in Crystal City.
I am thankful that we have a rainy day plan because we might need it soon and it allows us both to sleep better at night.
I am thankful for DH and DD because at the end of the day, they make everything better.
I am thankful that my position is changing and that I'll have some new duties that should be rather fun (I am *not* thankful that my only hope for a promotion would be a year away, but that's a long, boring hr story.)
I am thankful that my cute, quirky cousin that I don't spend enough time with is house sitting for us. The logistics for going away next week were about to kill me.
I am thankful that DH has an interview next week (fingers super, super crossed). They are flying him to their main offices OOT, so I'm hoping that's a good sign.
And a one day power outage and a tour of the downed trees in our neighborhood was enough to make me very thankful we were spared most of Irene's wrath.
But wait! There's more! Thankful for nice weather and the opportunity to hang out with a lot of cool people this long weekend! That should do it.
I'm thankful that my LOs sleep well at night. I think about this every morning when I wake up.
I'm thankful for the upcoming long weekend to spend lots of time with DH and the LOs (although I'm sure by Tuesday, I'll be thankful for the peace and quiet of my office and morning cup of coffee alone).
I'm thankful for my company for being so flexible with me over the years, whether it was when I was out on bedrest, when I requested a longer maternity leave, or when I asked to change my schedule to have every other Friday off.
I'm thankful we have made it TWO WHOLE YEARS with our sweet boy - it's his birthday today!
I'm also thankful work is letting me leave early to go to a party at his daycare this afternoon.
I'm thankful that so many of my family members are close by and are excited to come to his party this weekend (which was originally "family-only" but has expanded to include close family friends and there will now be 20+ people there, oy. But I am choosing to be thankful for that

I'm thankful that my close friend is recovering well from her surgery.
I'm thankful my workload was light enough yesterday while I teleworked that I could do a good deep clean of the house since my ILs are coming this weekend (that is a whole other slightly less-thankful post . . .).

bwahahaha!! that made me laugh!
i am thankful that my family & friends were all safe after irene.
i am thankful that i got to spend two weeks with my mom & gram. it was nice to not cram visits with family & friends into 3-4 days. my gram still doesn't really grasp wifi and using "the online" but she did enjoy seeing our NH photos on facebook.
i am thankful that after being apart for two weeks, DH & i have a long weekend to just relax and celebrate our anniversary.
i am thankful that i didn't return to insanely humid and hot DC weather. my northern blood cannot handle that kind of heat!
Love this. It's good to remember.

Happy Thursday!
I am thankful that I have a great (though pretty boring) job and a wonderful boss who pretty much lets me do anything that I want, and thinks I am awesome.
I am thankfull that even though I used the hurricane as an exuse to eat junk food and cocktails all weekend, I still managed to lose 2 lbs over the last week, rather than gain 5 as expected.
I am thankful that I am headed home to CT in 10 days to spend a week with my awesome, supportive, kind, loving parents and that I'll have a chance to see almost all of my friends that I still keep in touch with, plus some extended family that I haven't seen in a while.
I am thankful that I have so many things to be thankful for
I am thankful for forever friends, the kind who you can see twice a year and talk to rarely, but just fall into step with every time you're with them.
I am also thankful for how happy all of my pregnant friends are, eagerly waiting for their babies.
I am thankful for my job's flexibility and that I won't work a full week until the last week of September due to weddings, vacations, holidays and office closures.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I'm thankful that our church is sending us some money towards travel expenses (we are going to PA this weekend for DH's grandmother's funeral; DH just went 2 weeks ago for his grandfather's).
I'm so thankful that the hurricane was last weekend, and not this. I don't know if we'd be going anywhere if it was this weekend.
That's about all I can think of at the moment.... it has not been a good week.

I am thankful for such an amazing husband, he has really stepped up in the last few months with everything that has been going on with my family. I don't think I could do all of this without me.
I am thankful that my dad is really stepping up too and getting the help he needs so he can support my mom like my DH has been. I am thankful my mom decided to not worry about work and fly out to say goodbye to my Grandmother and help make arrangements.
All of these things are allowing me to have a semi-normal weekend away to relax with friends and DH, knock on wood!
I am thankful that we found a smoke-free, pet-friendly Corolla rental after ours fell through at the last minute since there's still no power on our part of Hatteras Island.

I am thankful that I am surrounded by wonderful girlfriends that are a continuous positive influence in my life - and that for the first time in over a year we are all going out for a night in DC later this month! I'm thankful that DH and I always have such a good time together and can't wait for our long weekend which starts tomorrow! I'm thankful for a wonderful family that makes a big effort to stay connected - today I've emailed with my great-aunt (80-ish) about hurricane prepardness, my grandfather (85) just to say hi, and my mom's cousin about her kids - and all three of them are also my facebook friends
And I'm thankful for a career that's progressing nicely even in this economy - thank goodness for living in the DC metro area!
I am thankful for a job that I love, where I am valued for my contributions. I also am thankful for the flexibility that I am allowed and the autonomy I am given.
And we are getting raises this year again - even through the worst of the economic downturn, our board has always oked budgets that include pay increases. That makes me feel appreciated, too.
I def want to play today!
I am thankful that DS did REALLY well yesterday on his first day with the new babysitter without either parent around! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
I SO thankful that:
1) Warner took a nap today...this has been a very rare occurrence lately.
2) DH is taking tomorrow off and we'll get to enjoy a nice, long, travel free, hurricane free weekend
3) I'm knocking on wood (I think that's what I should do?) that I think my morning/afternoon sickness has finally ended. yesterday and today I have felt better than I have for the past month and a half. no queasiness or nausea at all. woooo hoooo!!
