Our April Nestie GTG is TWO WEEKS from this Saturday!!!! Anyone else ridiculously excited?
So we're probably going to need to finalize where we are going to eat (Sat night & Sunday Brunch) so proper reservations can be made. I have an Open Table account, so if the restaurants that we decide on use that, I can totally make the reservations.
So we should probably get a count of who will be coming for dinner on Saturday and who will be coming for Brunch on Sunday as well as settling on a time for each day
For you Saturday girls....did we want to go with the tapas place, Tia Pol in Chelsea? Seems like everyone was good for that, but I just want to make sure.
Brunch I think was still up in the air though, so we should probably has it out. I could post a poll of the like top 3 places we were thinking of and whichever is most popular wins basically!
We can work on nitty gritty details afterwards. But we should probably get the big stuff out of the way now!
I'm SO freaking excited girls!!
Re: NYC GTG Girls Check In!
EEK! So excited!
I will be at both, going home in between.
My plan is to be at both though a bar mitzvah rehearsal (don't ask) may alter that slightly)
I'm cool with tapas however I know we had a request for margaritas on Saturday night Blockheads is an option on 50th btwn 8th and 9th or Rosa Mexicano (one near union square and one near lincoln center) I'm not in need of a margarita I just know it was one request so I wanted to put it out there.
I'm happy to make reservations at Il Bastardo (if we still want to go there) for brunch when we know how many people will be attending.
I'm getting excited too!! I can't wait!
I'm not familiar with NYC at all so I'm leaving it up to you ladies! I'm not picky either so whatever is picked is fine by me.

Since Mel was one of the margarita fans, and since she can't have any it might be ok to not have the temptation around :-) I love margaritas but I also love wine and other beverages and can find anything to drink anywhere we go. So I'm good either way.
I'll be there both days of course! EEEKK I saw 16 days on my countdown on my phone and I squealed this morning! Can't wait to see you ladies!

I was just thinking how fast the time has gone by!!!
I also agree - since our new Mama to be can't have Margarita's, I'm totally cool to do something not focused in that direction - and besides, it would be just mean to have them in front of her...lol
I can find a drink I like most anywhere, and I'm pretty open on the food places also,as long as it isn't someplace that serves only one kind of cuisine, and then very spicy cuisine (bad tummy!)...but other than that, I just say "bring on NYC, baby!!"
Oh - and for headcount purposes...I plan to be at both...even bought the cutest top on sale a white house/black market for Saturday night...Whoop Whoop!!!
I hear ya on the spicy cuisine! When Jon wants something spicy (food wise
hehe) he has dinner with his mom or a co-worker since my belly is not a fan.

Aww thanks for thinking of me ladies. I've already sat in on two margarita nights with the gang here and it is tough!
I also ditto the super spicy food...not a huge fan.
Maybe we can vote on Saturday night's options and whoever puts up the poll maybe have a link to the places (if there is one) or a description of the food, i.e., Italian, American, etc

I can create a new poll with some choices does anyone have the origional post with the other places that were listed?
This is the one that Amanda started a while back: http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/57031611.aspx
Is that the one you are thinking of?

I think I kept looking for NYC in the subject which must be how I missed it as I went over the 8 pages THREE times!! Either that or its almost 4pm and I'm SO ready for it to be my weekend!!!!
Count in me and Milo for Sunday brunch (an extra chair for his car seat would be much appreciated... his car seat does not fit on the little wooden booster chairs)!
You can get single drinks there at Il Bastardo, right? Was looking at their menu and the unlimited mimosas, bloody marys etc. Would love to have one drink (wisely spaced), but Milo will cut me off after that!
