Have you guys sold stuff at Plato's Closet?
We're getting ready to move so I've been going through my closet and getting rid of a lot of clothes. I've given the majority to goodwill, but there are some that I'd like to sell. Has anyone sold anything at Plato's Closet? Do you know if they take clothes for all seasons, or if they are specifically looking for fall/winter items now? Also, do you get any decent money back? I've never been to this place before. Thanks!

wait...like, meaning you had to buy it 12-18 months ago? And how would they even know? that's ridic....I'm not sure I like Plato and his closet
I don't usually itemize or include clothes with our donations for tax purposes (its more work than its worth for me) and these are really just things I want to try and sell.
Yup!
Most tags anymore have a date on them. Like Gap will say FALL09 so they know when it was manufactured.
There's another adult consignment store here but I can't remember the name. I'll see if Google jogs my memory.

Depending on the brand and style of your stuff this might be an option: http://esthersconsignment.com/shopomaha/

The only thing they've actually bought back from me is denim. As long as it was still in decent condition, they would buy back Old Navy... I think I got more for a pair of SJP Bitten jeans than I had paid at Steve & Barry's. I bought some 7FAMs for cheap on eBay and they didn't fit, I got about what I had paid (about $15) for them.
A lot of my shirts they said were either out of season or "too mature".

If you want to make some money I would hold a garage sale. Post on CL and do it 1 saturday morning. You could sell everything for $1-$5 and still make a decent amount and it will save you a trip to goodwill.
I usually take all my stuff to Goodwill b/c I'm too lazy to have a garage sale. I went to Plato's closet when it first opened to shop and I thought it was priced high for being used. I'd rather just wait for stores to have good sales and coupons.
