My milkman just delivered free ice cream

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough that I didn't order. Free!

*sigh*

I have been doing so well on my diet, too! Haha

Re: My milkman just delivered free ice cream

  • Jealous!  Is it homemade too?
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Oh yes it is! Fresh, right off the farm! Haha

I will wait until DH opens it. That's about as much as I can do for self control.

Luckily, I'm not a crazy ice cream person. I don't like to eat too much at once because I was lactose intolerant as a kid so the taste of cream starts to gross me out after a while.

Oh yeah, I remember you saying this before.  I think I disowned you a little after that comment Wink

Haha I know, people think I'm crazy. Especially DH, who could eat a whole carton of ice cream in one sitting if he didn't stop himself.

  • LadyE, I was allergic to milk as a kid and then thought I was lactose intolerant... I can still down an entire tub of frozen yogurt by myself though! You can deliver that to me if you don't want it Smile
  • Woah!  There are milkmen in MA.  And they deliver ice cream....sold.
image Yup, he was born that way. Doug's Blog
  • This post made me buy some ice cream when I went out grocery shopping!  Ha ha ha.
  • I have zero will power when it comes to ice cream, and my husband is the same. We have to practically force each other to stop eating when we buy Ben & Jerry's pints.  Otherwise, they'd be gone in one sitting.

(And I just sent him an email asking him to stop for ice cream on his way home, heh.)

  • what Town has ice cream delivery??!! I must move there STAT

They actually have a pretty large delivery area (as in most of Eastern MA). There are actually a bunch of dairy farms in MA that deliver. Here's a list: http://www.dairreez.com/ne/milk-MA.aspx. Here is the delivery area of ours: http://www.crescentridge.com/delivery_area.cfm

If you use milk and eggs, there is nothing like fresh milk.

Their 1% chocolate milk literally tastes like melted chocolate ice cream.

You were lactose intolerant as a kid? Did you outgrow it?  I only ask because I've become LT in just the past few years, and it's brutal.  I love a cold glass of milk, ice cream, cheese, and anythinng smothered in butter!

I believe I was a toddler when I grew out of it... Maybe 3 or 4? But I had an all out milk allergy as a baby, then when was LT for a few years.

But even now, if I eat a very creamy food, like chicken alfredo, I get a stomach ache.

  • Oh, and Earth's Balance buttery spread has no dairy and tastes just like butter!
