Scrap book...

This was the closest thing I could find to what my question is so hope you ladies don't mind.

I am planning to make a scrap book with baby pictures and I want to also put some of hte ultrasound pictures and a few of me pregnant in the scrap book but I can't decide how I should set it up.

I think I want the very first page to be a picture of my girl when I have her with her name on it....should I start the ultrasound pictures on page 2 then or tuck them al the way on the last pages....

I'd appreciate all opinions and if you made one how you did it :)  I'm not all that crafty/creative so this is my first scrapbook

Re: Scrap book...

  • Here is the scrapbook I did for my pregnancy. I still have pages to add but will add those later.

You can really do scrapbooking however you want but it might be cute to chronicle the pregnancy so you can start with all your ultrasound pictures and then pictures of you pregnant and you could do the last page with a picture of your daughter and her information on it. You could also start it off with a picture of her with her name and then chronicle from there (hope all that made sense).

Just remember you can make it as simple or as complicated as you want. I do very simple scrapbooks just because I am not a great scrapbooker.

  • Thank you so much for sharing! It's very pretty and congratulations on your little girl! :)

  • I think chronological order is best. Although saving room for a baby picture on the cover would be fine.

  • A few people have told me to have my u/s pictures laminated. They said they tucked theirs into their baby books and within a few years they were seriously faded. I scanned mine and had had 4X6 photos printed instead.

I scanned mine too and then printed them 4x6. I forgot to tell OP that, glad you mentioned that. I will still put the original ones in an envelope or something but I won't have to worry about them fading. OP also make sure everything you use is acid free so things don't fade (paper, stickers, what you ue to write with, etc). Most scrapbook paper, stickers and things you get from a craft store will or should he acid free, but just make sure.

If my friend hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have thought of it. I'd have cried down the road when I discovered they were faded.

  • Everyone is different when it comes to doing a layout for a page. As for me personally I would start with the just finding out we're pregnant then work from there. But, like I said everyone is different!! :)
