Morning all!
Derek didn't feed the cats before we went to bed last night, so of course Meka was walking all over us and knocking things off our night stands at 4:30. She would not give up until Derek got up and fed them. Awesome. It's funny. She always knocks Derek's glasses off his nightstand. It's like she knows he can't function without them.
I'm only in for half a day today. I'd been hoping to take the whole day off, but we had an urgent project request come in at the end of the day yesterday, so I'm here to get things rolling so it will be done come Monday.
Derek and Tim have a 90km bike ride scheduled for Sunday. This will be interesting. Tim goes out for a ride several times a week and runs most other days. Derek hasn't been on his bike in 3 weeks.

I'm just getting ready to head into work. Nothing exciting for me this weekend since I work the whole thing (Monday included). I'm hoping it's not too hectic and that my on call tonight and tomorrow night are uneventful.
I went for a 5 mile run this morning and it went MUCH better than my run on Wednesday so I'm happy with that. It's supposed to get up to 94 with ridiculous humidity today making it an air quality alert day so I'm glad I got out early.

Woohoo weekend! We don't have too much going on this weekend, which I'm happy about. It will be nice to just relax and putz around. It's nice outside today and I think it should be tomorrow too, so maybe we'll hop on some bikes and ride around the park. Who knows.
I wish we had a long weekend like you all. But we can't complain since we had a holiday this past Monday. Hope you all have a good one!

Yay for Friday!
Today I am only working until 11 (2 more hours!!)! Then we are packing up for our annual neighborhood camping trip to Kokatosi. I am excited since it is the first year the boys are coming. They are only staying tonight, and we have a sitter for Saturday night. It will be nice to get away.
I couldn't get the boys haircut this week, so I am hoping they are open on Monday so I can get it done then.

Good Morning! This week has been so hectic, I am so glad it's Friday. Our professional development schedule was jam-packed all week, but today I have nothing to do until 2:30. I am going to try to get my lesson plans done, but I'll more than likely sit here on the computer and slack off.
Tomorrow two of our good friends are getting married, and all of our friends will be there. We've been looking forward to the wedding all summer...it's going to be a blast.
Sunday my parents are making the 3 hour drive to our house. About a month ago, our power went out, and when it was restored, half of the house did not work. Turns out we have a short somewhere, and since my dad is an electrician, he offered to come help out.
Monday we are hosting a BBQ for our friends. They are calling for rain, but I'm hoping it doesn't rain all day.

Tomorrow I believe we're heading to ILs' house for lunch and then planning to be home early to catch the college football games in the evening. Woohoo football!
Sunday we'll be going to church and then stopping nearby for lunch and to talk to the managers at the restaurant where we want to have the reception for Darian's baptism in October. We've settled on just inviting the smaller guest list that I wanted, so hooray for that.
Not sure about Monday. My parents mentioned that they want to come by sometime this week so I guess that could happen Sunday or Monday.

I'm so excited that it's almost the weekend. I'm hoping to sneak out of work a little early tonight to get my long weekend going early. Tonight I need to make cupcakes (yay!), and then I'm heading into a friend's house for a wine night/Top Chef Just Desserts.
Tomorrow we have the farmer's market in the morning. Then I have an MBA reunion tailgate before, during (for the people who don't go to the game) and after the football game. I'm so excited that it's football season again!
Sunday/Monday I'm not entirely sure about yet. I know that my mom is coming up at some point. She wants to go shopping and I'm definitely taking her to see The Help. We both read the book so we're very anxious to see the movie now. Other than that, I'm planning on doing a little bit of housework (although the house is in decent shape right now) and some laundry. I'm also really hoping to catch up on some sleep. Have a great weekend, ladies!

TGIF! My boss is officially on vacation so today should be a chill day. I'm working on reorganizing our files which is a nice chill project appropriate for the Friday before a long weekend. We have tons of files so I won't finish today but it will be nice to get started.
We don't have any plans this weekend and I am thrilled. Ideally we want to do the usual cleaning, chores and shopping for the week tomorrow and Sunday but that's it. If the weather holds up, I also want to go to the beach and take Olivia and Bailey. I just really want to enjoy the time with my DH and Olivia. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Evening ladies! I've been MIA since this week has been nuts. I met my homeroom kids yesterday (and so far, so good), then last night we went out to dinner for Ed's 30th birthday. Today was our last in-service day and it was crazy trying to get all the last minute things done, but I think I'm ready for Tuesday.
Tomorrow I am hoping to get in a long run (7-9 miles). Sunday we are headed to Boston to the Deuschte Bank golf tournament with my friend and BIL and his GF. Ed and I are staying down Sunday night with my friend and BIL and his GF are coming home to watch the dogs. We won't be home too late Monday though because I have to get grocery shopping and laundry done before school starts Tuesday!
Also...Kat, Starsailor, and Ringy...I love the pics! All of the LOs are getting so big...especially the twins! Yikes!
