s/o Cricut and Make the Cut and Plugins

If there was a non-cartridge based die cutting machine for cutting fondant like the Cricut Cake I would totally buy it...I refuse to buy the Cricut Cake because I'd have to use the cartridges and from what I understand you cannot use the plugin for the Cake...I like using my own designs!

Re: s/o Cricut and Make the Cut and Plugins

  • I have heard that people use the Expression for fondant cutting.  No clue how though.

  • I have too but I would worry about sanitation and getting the food all stuck in my machine...the Cake was designed so that wouldn't happen
  • I know this won't be much help, but I recently took a Wilton cake decorating class, and my instructor told us not to waste our money on the cake one if we had the expression already. Just to get a separate blade when using for cakes. She also told us how to do, like lifting or lowering the blade and this and that. But I can't remember what all you had to do to use it for cakes. I didn't have a Cricut at the time, so I wasn't paying too much attention. But surely there are instructions out there on what to do.
