SIL is on bedrest for pre-e. She had a NST yesterday and baby is fine. Her due date is only a week from today so if they need to induce, they'll be fine. It's just a little nerve-racking! Any Ts and Ps would be appreciated.
Did any of you ladies have pre-e? Does it pretty much just mean high blood pressure?
Re: Ts and Ps please
Ts and Ps headed her way!
At this stage in her pregnancy I don't think it's a HUGE deal because inducing her would be ok for her and baby and they will induce the second they think it's too bad. While it's definitely still a risk, I think they'll both be fine.
I think Blair had pre-e and someone else... I just can't remember who!
PCOS and Endo
Ovarian drilling and endo removed 1/3/12
BFP - 3/27/12
Beta's 11, 14, 57, 637, 2800
Sono showed no baby and teeny tiny sac. Waiting to M/C naturally.
The Sand in My Snow Boots
T&Ps! It great that they're so close to the due date.
Wasn't Luke born at 30 weeks (or earlier?) because of pre-e?
I was diagnosed with high blood pressure two weeks before JJ's due date, but they never said it was pre-e...probably because it was so late in my pregnancy. The high blood pressure forced my induction a couple of days before JJ's due date [but I'm still convinced he would've hung out past 40 weeks anyway].
Definitely keeping them in my thoughts!
PIH - pregnancy induced hypertension aka you had normal bps then once you became pregnant they bcame elevated ( normally monitored or controlled with a low dose med )
pre eclampsia - bps so elevated in late pregnancy, that it can lead to eclampsia. generally characterized by extremely high bps, headaches, vision distortion, weight gain and excessive protein in urine
eclampsia - state of convulsions ruing prenancy or labor
eta - duh - many ts and ps - hopefully baby can cook for one more week !

My Randomness Blog!!
I had gestational hypertension- which is JUST high blood pressure- not pre e. My understanding of pre e it also includes protein levels being high in urine.
My sister had pre e, and was on bedrest on and off from 34 weeks on. Just have her rest. They'll induce if her BP gets too high. Thinking of her, she and baby I am sure will be fine. Just tell her to take it easy.
