It seems like we have a lot of PhDs and PhD students on the board! So just out of curiosity, what is your PhD in? I seriously considered doing a PhD but decided to go for the MD instead, but I might still do a PhD someday :-)

Re: PhDs/PhD students
I finished my PhD in 2004. I started a MA in the US (UMich) in 1997, left the PhD programme there because I lost funding (long story) and started my PhD in 2000 in Wales (Welsh history - hence the name). I gave up applying for jobs because DH was finishing up his PhD and I wanted to stay with him, and regret that - I've done nothing professional since 2006.
Joanna, I always thought I'd enjoy being a doctor - just never did very well at Bio and Chem!
My DH has a PhD in Philosophy, and that's what he is currently teaching at the college level.
I've always considered going back for a PhD - probably something in Communications. But we'll see...there's always time!
