Corolla/Duck restaurant and other yummy recs?

Since our annual stay in Frisco, NC has been washed away (pun intended...), we got a last-minute rental in Corolla. I'm not all that familiar with food options up there.

We make dinner every night, but like to go out to lunch once or twice and also, of course, ice cream and fudge are a must!!

Any recs? Just looking for your typical sit-down but casual seafood/American/beer place. And treats of any variety. :)

Thanks!

  • The Blue Point in Duck is a nicer restaurant, but prices are still fairly reasonable (e.g., $25 for an entree).  We went when we were down there last year for our anniversary.

I always end up at Fishbones at some point while I'm down there.  They have typical bar food and really good foofoo drinks with special cups that match the type of drink you are having.

There's also a great place that has take-out steamer baskets.  You tell them how many people and pick from a package and they put everything together in a pot for you to add water and boil.  They have great crabs and other seafood.

  • I'll second the Blue Point in Duck. We've gone the last two years and really enjoyed it. Only complaint is that it tends to be really loud.

We also like Jack Dianna's which is in Corolla.

  • Outer Banks Seafood Company is good.  La Dolce Vita in the Timbuck II center is also really yummy.

  • Hey, we are going to be in Duck tomorrow!  Our original house in Hattaras wasn't damaged but we can't get there b/c the road was washed out.  We got a last minute house in Duck.

I looked on trip advisor and was thinking about going to Aqua and Blue Point bar and grill.

We are planning on leaving around 6 tomorrow hoping to miss some of the traffic.

     Have a great time!
