  • Candy Apple Salad:

    4 Granny Smith Apples diced

1 small can crushed pineapple drained

    1 large container Cool-Whip

    3 regular sized Snickers chopped

Just mix everything together and you're done!

    or

    Cinnamon Apples and Dip

1 pkg (brick) of Cream Cheese (don?t do fat free it is too runny, but 1/3 less fat is ok) ? c. Brown Sugar packed 1 tsp. vanilla or caramel flavoring (I always use vanilla because caramel is sometimes hard to find) Mix it together.  I like to use Granny Smith apples with it and toss them in Cinnamon.

  • If you are looking for something super cheap and easy to make that only takes a few minutes you can make a box of the italian Suddenly Salad, add an extra teaspoon or more of olive oil then add chopped tomatoes and cucumers and some cheese cubes and little chunks of salami.

Also I always gravitate towarts the watermelon at bbqs, I love fresh watermelon on a summer day!

  • I usually do frito corn salad or taco salad with Dorthy Lynch dressing.
  • No mayo..there goes my recipe.  :)  Does Miracle Whip count?  :)

I've never had it made this way-I will have to try this! I usually make it with the apples and the snickers, but I take a package of vanilla pudding, make it according to the box but add the whip cream to it right away then the apples and the snickers and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Mine too. It's pretty BA, though, so, if you can tolerate a tiny little bit of mayo that you can't taste anyway, scroll down :) I seriously can't make anything else when we bring a side now because everyone just asks for this.

    Baked Potato Salad
    Ingredients:
6   medium baking potatoes (about 2 pounds)
    3/4   cup sour cream
    3/4   cup mayonnaise
8   slices bacon, crisply cooked, drained and chopped (about 1/2 cup)
    1/2   cup chopped red onion
    image
    1/2   cup chopped celery
    1/2   teaspoon salt
1/4   teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
Thinly sliced green onions with tops (optional)
    Shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

    Directions:
    1. Preheat oven to 425?F. Scrub potatoes thoroughly and pat dry. Spray potatoes with vegetable oil. Prick potatoes with fork and bake 60 minutes.
    2. Meanwhile, combine sour cream and mayonnaise. Chop bacon, red onion and celery; add to sour cream mixture. Stir in salt and black peppe. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
    3. Remove potatoes from oven; cool completely. (I am impatient and will usually stick potatoes in the freezer for about 10mins until they are cool enough that I don't burn myself trying to chop them!!) Coarsely chop potatoes. Place in large bowl; fold in sour cream mixture. Cover and refrigerate 4-6 hours or overnight. Garnish with sliced green onions and cheddar cheese.
