Re: Post your favorite picnic/bbq recipe
Candy Apple Salad:
4 Granny Smith Apples diced
1 small can crushed pineapple drained
1 large container Cool-Whip
3 regular sized Snickers chopped
Just mix everything together and you're done!
or
Cinnamon Apples and Dip
1 pkg (brick) of Cream Cheese (don?t do fat free it is too runny, but 1/3 less fat is ok) ? c. Brown Sugar packed 1 tsp. vanilla or caramel flavoring (I always use vanilla because caramel is sometimes hard to find) Mix it together. I like to use Granny Smith apples with it and toss them in Cinnamon. If you are looking for something super cheap and easy to make that only takes a few minutes you can make a box of the italian Suddenly Salad, add an extra teaspoon or more of olive oil then add chopped tomatoes and cucumers and some cheese cubes and little chunks of salami.
Also I always gravitate towarts the watermelon at bbqs, I love fresh watermelon on a summer day!
No mayo..there goes my recipe.
Does Miracle Whip count?
Courtney B needs to post her Grape dessert she makes!!
I've never had it made this way-I will have to try this! I usually make it with the apples and the snickers, but I take a package of vanilla pudding, make it according to the box but add the whip cream to it right away then the apples and the snickers and refrigerate until ready to serve.
That's how we do it too, Ashley! Now that sounds really good!
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
2 packages cheese tortellini (cooked per package instructions)
1-2 cups cherry tomatoes
1 package bacon, prepared and crumbled
1 bunch scallions, sliced
1 jar cole slaw dressing
Toss together. Enjoy!
Mine too. It's pretty BA, though, so, if you can tolerate a tiny little bit of mayo that you can't taste anyway, scroll down
I seriously can't make anything else when we bring a side now because everyone just asks for this.
