What are you up to? Do you have an extra long weekend due to the holiday?
Re: Happy weekend!
I picked up the kids this morning at 10, we went to a great wooden park but it got too hot so we went to my in-laws and went swimming then the kids had their Meet and Greet at school. It went really well, and even though their mom didn't give me their supplies to take in, they all at least know where their rooms are, where their desks are, and were their lockers are.
As far as the weekend goes, I have my 2 nieces coming over tomorrow at 7:30am and I'm watching them until 10pm! 5 kids ages 7,6,5,3 1/2 and 1... BY MYSELF... What am I thinking??? LOL We'll probably hit up a parade or 2 on Monday but otherwise, it's our last chill weekend before school starts for them, and before my students show up.

Saturday - baby shower and maybe some shopping
Sunday - church, maternity pics, definitely some shopping (esp at Babies R Us)
Monday - last minute shopping that I wasn't up for earlier in the weekend. Hoping to have just about everything for baby (that we will need immediately) by time the weekend is over.
Saturday: we have our home inspection in the morning, then I have to work
Sunday: work, and lesson planning for the week
Monday: Off and relaxing- hoping to have all my lesson done!
Today: DH left for his cousin's wedding in Atlanta. I hung out with my friend who's husband works in the restaurant business so works a lot of nights.
Tomorrow: I am going to one of my friend's weddings (I knew her in high school AND college) and I am going alone. I am not happy about this. I thought DH should be coming with me since we knew about this wedding like waaay before his cousins, but oh well. I understand he wants to see his family. It just sucks.
Sunday: I recover from my hangover and DH comes back in the evening.
Monday: Nothing planned yet. :-)
my read shelf:
I have been working 10-11 hour days all week. I also began my master's classes on Wednesday night, which go until 9:30pm. Needless to say, I desperately need some down time.
We have a wine festival on Monday afternoon and DH's summer company party that evening (they have two a year).Other than that, we are pretty plan free. We may go wine tasting with friends tomorrow, but other than that it will just be regular weekend chores and homework for my master's classes. Hope everyone gets a chance to relax and/or do something fun this weekend!
Well I would like to get the house organized/cleaned because a nurse came to do a physical/take blood on DH because he is getting a life insurance policy. She asked us if we were moving in or out of our house and I just laughed and said "just rearranging". I didn't realize that our house was in that much disorder until she said that! So I will be working on de-cluttering/cleaning out this weekend.
Today: On call for work 7am-7pm. We are going to check out a nursery to get pricing on trees and shrubs and figure out what trees we want, since we are re-doing our landscaping. Also need to go to Target to pick up a few things.
Tomorrow: On call for work 7am-7pm. Other than that no real plans. We might go check out a bike path that runs along the lake.
Monday: On call for work 7am-7pm. No plans.
It's kind of nice to not have any definite plans-we are just gonna work around the house and get stuff done.
Sat: cleaning, catching up on housework i've missed from being sick the last 3 weeks, bon fire at the IL's house tonight. we were supposed to go up to mow my mom's lawn but ziggy's in horrible pain from a root canal he had this week so i think we will be staying home.
Sun: cleaning, bills, catching up on more housework, laundry
Mon: pager duty, but have the day "off". hope to not get called for the whole day to work....but expecting that i will!

Sat: Cleaning and just hanging around the house
Sun: Party at my mom's house. I'm hoping the weather is warm up and stays clear so we can swim!
Mon: Just relaxing before the week starts up.
I was supposed to go to see Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary show... but I freaked out about work and didn't go.
Yesterday I worked on my lectures & did some cleaning. DH went to the show... and I went to the Crate & Barrel outlet (just to look) & bought some frames from homegoods for our living room.
Today- pity party this am b/c of allergies, more lecture prep & cleaning and off to my friend's son's 1st birthday party! Tomorrow.... more lecture prep & maybe a picnic.
You must post pics when you get them back!!
