DH and I are going on a mountain hike today and we've packed a lovely picnic to take with us, hopefully the weather stays nice!

Good Morning! No real plans, I spent the day doing some housecleaning and airing out since it was such a lovely spring day here. We're having my in-laws over for Father's Day dinner tomorrow (baked spaghetti and sweet potato pie), so I wanted a clean house for that. DH will dust and vacuum tomorrow, he did the yard work today.
QOTD: I like pain au chocolat very much, but I think my favorite are elephant ears or meringue kisses (if they count as "pastry").
Morning, I have a 4th birthday party to go to this afternoon and I am working tonight. Exciting plans, not!

Morning, I am off to an exercise class in a few minutes. I am not sure yet, but if the weather is as good as yesterday, I think we might go for a hike. Also College Football starts tonight.

I am missing college football. I am all ready for it and none of the networks here carry it. I have to get my fix video streaming and the play-by-play online.
Morning! We're planning to take BabyD to the family pool on base later. Thought about taking him to the water park at the mall but with Eid ending, being a weekend, being the first weekend people can eat/drink during the day, being one of the last weekends before school starts - we figured it would be a bit crazier than needed. Tonight we have a farewell event for DH's military boss. Should be fun.
BUT... I have a ticket home for my brother's wedding!!! Going to be a short visit but I have enough vacation hours (barely) and work is being supportive. Cutting the trip short by a day because the option for coming back is just rough. DH gave me severe side-eye about landing at 2:45am local time the same day I go back to work after traveling halfway around the world pregnant. I sighed, said "fine" in that tone, and booked the same flight just the day earlier. I know he's right and I'll need that day of recovery.
QOTD: Everyday pastry - donuts. Specifically properly done old-fashioned donuts. Love, love, love.
Specialty pastry - tarte tatin. Made correctly. Not some kind of apple dessert thingy that they are trying to pass off with a fancy name.

We are going shopping this afternoon then out of town for the night. A friend is having a birthday picnic tomorrow so we are going early to hang out and get in some college football (she is also American)! I can't wait to watch a game.

Morning. I've got dishes to do, and I'm baking a strawberry creme cake for one of the waitresses who's going to Uni next week. Today is her last day in Gala.

We went to the booze souq this morning to pick up some alcohol. It was the first day being open after Ramadan/Eid holidays, so it was a zoo! But we bought a ton of stuff and won't have to go back soon :-P
I'm heading to the mall to meet a friend for coffee, and then we're having some friends over this evening, just to kick back and watch some tv.
QOTD: I love croissants - both plain & chocolate, cheese danish, arabic sweets that are so common here, donuts (those count right?). Definitely too many to choose from!

Afternoon! Today was puppy school, Maddy did well. This afternioon DH is getting things ready for tomorrows bike race thing thats going on. This evening we have dinner at my parents
