Hi All,
I am new to this board and just wanted to introduce myself. DH and I were married July 16th, 2010.
Just thought it would be fun to meet some people who are going through somewhat "new" married life as well.

Hi and welcome! I'm Mel. DH and I got married July 31 last year! We live about an hour north of Philly. I'm a teacher, DH is an engineer. We have no kids, are not pregnant, but thinking of starting to TTC soon.

My name is Brittany and DH and I live in San Diego. I am currently searching for a job and finishing up my last semester of college. DH just currently finished college and is now working and going through a promotion process which is very exciting!
We are still a couple years away from TTC as we would like to be in a more stable financial position (even though I know you can never be fully prepared for kids!) But I am very excited about that chapter of our lives as DH and I love love love children.

I'm Jen, DH and I live in Columbus and were married July 10, 2010. I'm a teacher as well, although just subbing right now, and DH is in Dental School. We won't be TTC for awhile either! It's nice to meet another new person! So exciting!

I'm Elisha. DH and I live in Northern VA. I'm a third grade teacher and he is an engineer. We just got a labradoodle puppy and he is so fun! TTC is about a year away for us. Enjoy our board. The ladies are all very nice!
Haha, Elisha, I did not know that your DH was an engineer too (or maybe I forgot). I did not know we had that in common!
Do you have the same dynamic we do? DH is super logical and I look at things more emotionally.
Mel, I didn't realize we had that in common either! Actually, DH and I are both pretty logical. We're both researchers when it comes to buying things. The one thing that I did find myself more emotional over was buying a house. Thankfully, we only lost one to another bidder when we were initially looking.We'll be going through that process again in a little less than a year to buy a single family home. So...yeah, I guess I stress a bit easier than he does.
I'm more of a planner (no suprise as a teacher) and he is very much a "guy" when it comes to making plans. He is getting better at planning things ahead of time, but his friends don't seem to be..haha.
This is us. DH is getting better about planning and is always so proud when he does plan ahead. It's funny though, because DH is much better at having a plan to get a project done (he's very handy and good at fixing things). So you would think he would have it in him. He's just always been used to just going with the flow and something will come together in terms of plans.

I'm Kim and my DH is Ziggy. We live in CT and got married July 24, 2010. I work in IT and he works in R&D for a grounding/bonding company. We currently have no kids and no plans to TTC anytime soon. We aren't sure yet if we want kids, but i think sometime down the road we will want them
Glad to see a new "face" on here, we love getting new people! Everyone on here is really great and super supportive. All the girls have gotten me through some extremely tough times in the last year, including being way more supportive of me that even my IRL friends when i lost my Dad in February of this year to cancer. They are a fantastic group and i love them all to pieces!!!

I'm Lisa and I married Brad on July 9th. I'm a teacher who is currently subbing and DH works for a lawyer. We currently have no kids are are planning on waiting probably 2-3 more years before TTC- right now we feel too young (we're 25/26) and are enjoying our time together with it being just the two of us. Oh, and we live in IL.

I'm Kelly and DH is Greg - we got married on July 24th and live in Chicago. We're both CPAs and practice tax. As for TTC, we're just letting nature take its course - if it happens we'll be super excited, but we're not actively trying. We're perfectly fine with it being just the two of us for a few more years.
I've been kind of MIA from the board lately because work has been busy. I'll start coming around more often in a couple weeks :-)

Another Mel over here. My DH is Greg and we were married on July 24, 2010. I'm a teacher and he's in finance, although recently he's been doing financial operations. We bought a house in July, so we're learning about all of the quirks that come with home ownership, and are waiting on TTC until I hopefully receive my tenure.

I am Veronica. DH is Kevin. I organize engineers at John Deere (newish job) and Kevin is a CO at a jail but going to school for physical therapy. We found out that we are expecting our first baby this Christmas Eve! He or she was a little surprise
