Star (and other toddler travelers)

We leave for the beach a week from yesterday (whoot! whoot!)

I'm fairly set on packing the obvious; towels, pnp, diapers, sunscreen, clothes, etc. But what I am having difficulty with is toys. How much of your kids "own" stuff did you take just for the sake of entertainment??

  • We have flown so we usually take a few small things, even when driving we take just a few basics. I guess it just depends on how much down time you'll have to play inside.

  • When we spent a week at the beach earlier, we just took a small reusable grocery bag of Mads' favorite toys & books.  She did end up playing with most of them at one point or another.... while we were getting meals ready or on a cloudy afternoon.  But I wouldn't go crazy, there's always so much other stuff that they'll find to play with- especially at the beach :)  Have a great time!
