Weekend getaways
My husband and I are in desperate need of a little weekend getaway. I was thinking of maybe a resort in the mountains, somewhere 1-2 hours away from Boston. Any suggestions?

I love Lenox, Stockbridge etc. Such a beautiful area! We just went out to Tanglewood a few weekends ago.
SO and I just got back from a few days in P-town. We took the 90 minute ferry down and had an amazing, relaxing time. I know it's the opposite of the mountains, but it was fantastic.
Enjoyed dinner at Ross's Grill and had a few nice meals at the new Beer Garden.
Thanks for the recommendations, ladies! My hubby and I just moved to Boston in July and it has been a couple of stressful months, so I really want to plan a time when we can just relax. These are great suggestions!

It is such a beautiful hotel! We have not stayed there, but I have gone there for cocktails on several occasions.
I stayed at the Mt. Washington last November. It was a beautiful old hotel and the facilities are lovely. I would suggest finding somewhere else to eat. The "fine dining" meal we had there was average at best and it was expensive! The pub was fine. We loved having a cocktail in the main lobby and sitting at one of the game tables and playing scrabble.
SO did a zipline tour (I was there for a conference so I did not get to enjoy to much of the extras...)
