can someone clarify something for me? i know their approval system is different, which is fine, but if i tagged someone is my photo, the fact that all their friends can now see the pics kind of bugs me. i feel like this is different.
so now in order to keep my photos between me and my friends only, i cannot tag anyone in the pics. is this correct? was it always like this?

Re: fb and tagging photos
Right.... That was my impression as well. I'm pretty sure they changed that. So annoying. Now what, I have to un-tag everyone in each photo???
If you tag someone in a picture, their friends can see that picture as well.
One of my MIL's friends liked a bunch of our wedding pictures right after I put them up today. Makes me a bit paranoid about who can see what on there.
This is what facebook help says:
It's important to remember that the "tagging" feature does not allow users to see photos that they wouldn't normally be able to see. If you're able to see photos that a non-friend uploaded through a photo that they tagged one of your friends in, it is because this person has most likely set his or her album privacy to the "Public" setting (so that everyone on the site is able to view it).
...sounds like you need to go into each album and make sure the settings are just friends instead of public or friends of friends.
I was always under the impression that if you set it to friends only then that's just friends.
Once you tag a friend their friends can see them but say you tag them in a friends only album they'll only be able to see the ones you tagged them in...they won't be able to see the rest of the album.
It's annoying
Maybe what's changed is now people I'm not friends with can comment on the photo. Either way it's different and I don't like it. I guess I won't allow any more people to tag my shiz.
