Hey all,
So I found a place (yay) but I need to hire movers for my furniture...anybody got suggestions?
Re: Local Moving Companies?
I used Smooth Movers for three different moving-related projects and was very happy with their services. I like that they bill by the hour so you just pay for what you need. I also recently recommended them to two friends for their moves and they both were also really happy with their services.

We also used 2 Guys and a Truck (twice actually). They have various northern VA locations. We had great experiences both times. They were very efficient and careful.
I used mytruckbuddy.com
3 guys, $75 truck + $125/hour

My Truck Buddy.
Used them for my Alexandria to Arlington move - 4 guys, 3.5 hours, $495. Best money I have spent. They will also dissemble and reassemble furniture if you want them to.
