Thanks, there wasn't really an expecting post. I slipped it into another post briefly last week.
Congrats, Jess! I'm so happy to hear your news!
Name: Lisa
Due Date: 10/1
Where are you delivering: St. Anthony's in Warwick
How are you feeling: Physically good except for badly swollen feet. The dr actually pulled me from works 2 weeks ago b/c they were turning colors (I have a pre-existing platelet condition). Our elevator at work was out 3 weeks and every time I peed or had a meeting in the main office I had to climb 6 flights of stairs- this is on top of a solid 10 minute walk to my office from the parking garage which is on top of a 70 mile one way drive- there was no chance of the swelling getting under control w/o elevator access. I called daily to have the elevator fixed to no avail. Luckily, my bosses flipped when they found out I would actually have to stop coming in and they set me up working from home until I deliver rather than losing me to disability.
Emotionally, I'm a wreck since my home is in disarray- I don't know how I can bring home a newborn to a house that's in shambles
