Now I understand (re: packing the craft room)

We're closing on a new house in 3 weeks, so the packing has just started. I keep thinking about all of the Fall crafts I ::need:: to get started on, and that's totally on hold now. I'm super excited about moving (in a much better area of town and yay for a bigger house and a real backyard!), but at the same time, I'm going to miss my craft room for the next few weeks.

Maybe I should take this time to learn how to crochet since my sewing machine is about to get packed away. :(

  • girl, I hear ya!  We are moving in with the ILs while we build so I will have a make-shift area for about a year before I am settled.  I just have to keep reminding myself that I will have a whole loft area once we get this built!  DH asked me the other day when I was going to start packing my stuff and I gave him the side eye asking when we were actually moving in with his parents because this stuff will be the last boxes to pack (well, before the kitchen essentials haha).

  • LOL I was just packing thinking hmm well I could totally throw this stuff in a bag or something a day or so before we move.  No need to actually box it up. Got 5 boxes packed up of things I have no clue why they didn't go straight into storage.

  • That is one thing I am no looking forward to whenever we do move. DH may kill me when he sees how many boxes the craft stuff will use.

OMG...I totally understand! I told H I packed away all of my fabric, and he was like, so you didn't even fill up a box yet? Uhm....1 and a half boxes...all fabric. LOL!

    BTW, fabric is super heavy!

  • It took me the better part of 2 weekends to pack my craft room.  Two large foot lockers, 4 large boxes, 5 bags of fabric, 3 sewing machines, etc etc...
