FB ?: Can you no longer block people from your news feed?

When I click on the little X on the upper right hand side I get 2 options:

Hide this post

Report post or spam

WTH happened to "hide this person"?!

Re: FB ?: Can you no longer block people from your news feed?

  • Choose to hide the post, then the next option they give you is to hide all posts from that person.

  • You're a lifesaver.

But this begs the question: How will I know precisely when several people got married?

  • More importantly, you're going to miss them posting about their first pregnancy approx 2.4 seconds after conception.

  • How will I live without such late breaking news?!

  • My favorite lately is my cousin and his wife having mundane page long conversations with each other via their status posts for the past week.

"Can you call my mom and see if she is coming over tonight?" Blah blah blah, 15 comments back and forth later...blah blah blah...

Call each other on the damn phone!

Newlywed couple who are both my FB friends do this too. They write back and forth on each other's wall "how are you doing sweetie? did you pick up the chicken for dinner? I love youuuuuuu!" Every. Day. I'm cool with a sweet "I love you" on FB walls here and there but come on, keep the day to day relationship talk in FB messages!
