Ours was busy, but good. Saturday we went to a wedding there really are no words for. The highlights:
the bride's mother's hair went to her knees
the wine choices were two types of Arbor Mist
the dj had on an Amish hat
the best man had on the BM button from you, me, and Dupree
the venue holds livestock auctions in it every Wednesday and smelled like pee
there was a guy there with a Hawiian print shirt that was all skulls
one guy we met knew the groom because he was the cop who pulled him over (the guest) for his 1st DUI
the food made us all sick (meatball and pulled pork sandwiches)
Sunday we moved DH into the apartment in Worcester. It was uneventful then went to dinner.
Monday I drove home, picked up the dog who was so happy to leave my parents, cleaned up the carpet debris from putting down new rugs upstairs, then crashed.
How was everyone else's weekend?
Yup, he was born that way.

Re: How was everyone's weekends?
Pup- that wedding sounds AWFUL! Ha ha ha.
I had a good weekend. We had dinner with friends Saturday night. We spent time with my in-laws on Sunday. Yesterday DH and I were lazy. We took DoggieCrushing on a new hike that he LOVED.
Pup- that is uh.mazing. Holy crap!
I worked 7-12 on Saturday, then went home and crashed. Sunday, we took a walk up to Starbucks/the bakery for breakfast, and then I spent the afternoon cleaning and arranging the 1/2 bedroom, because my new bookshelf is due any day now. (I have three boxes of books to donate, if anyone has any suggestions.)
Yesterday, I worked 7-12:30, then met my husband for lunch at Conley's. Unfortunately, I overestimated how much better I was feeling and underestimated how hot it was, and we decided to walk home. It's just under 2 miles, so yeah. Not smart. I took a shower, slept for an hour and a half, and then managed to make us some dinner. I could use another day off, since I'm only kind of feeling better, but no dice. At least we have nothing planned for the weekend.
LOL Pup, that wedding sounds amazingly terrible. I love it!
We had a looong weekend. DH's grandmother died on Wednesday, so we had the wake on Friday and the funeral on Saturday (followed by the reception, so it was an all day event). The we said goodbye to the baby of the family- my littlest sister- who left for college on Sunday
Sunday we moved a bunch of furniture we're not using and other crap to our storage unit and staged the house. Monday we did pictures of the house with our realtor and had a couple of friends over for dinner.
Whew. I am exhausted. And now DH is en route to CA for work for the week.
It was a special wedding, that is for sure.
LadyExtravaganza, I am sorry for your loss.
saturday we came back from our honeymoon. poo. went to see dont be afraid of the dark and started cleaning out the kitchen for our wedding gifts.
sunday continued to clean and put away the gifts.
mondays saw apollo 18 and finished putting away gifts. (my last day of vacation so i included it lol)
back to work today after 13 days off
Thanks, pup. In a strange way, it was a good thing. We're glad the pain and suffering is over for you, KWIM?
Oh, and side note: we did bring DS to all of the services and he behaved wonderfully and everyone seemed to like having him there.
We had a pretty good weekend. I had a pregnant girls shopping trip to Nashua. I went with a friend and her friend and had a successful day. DH and I went out for dinner in Lowell on Saturday night for our anniversary.
Sunday- relatively lazy/ cleaned/ laundry and my parents/ grandmother & sister stopped by for a quick visit.
Monday- another lazy day
MIL's hair went down to her knees at our wedding.
Let's see: Friday we just hung out.
Saturday we went to the Wrentham Outlets and I watched DH get twitchy as soon as he saw the crowds. He has vowed never to go on a weekend again. I got some cute shoes though.
Sunday we ended up hanging out at home because DD refused to nap. We took a looooooong walk through Norwood and it was lovely.
Monday we went to the South Shore Plaza and had a blast. DD was SO good, and DH got new clothes (he's lost 35 lb since July--yay!)
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

Holiday weekends there are the worst. I have sworn off them totally. But I'm glad you got some cute shoes!
And I totally forgot the best part of my weekend - on Sunday night, when I discovered the dozen + moth larva hanging out in our dining room. So I ended up cleaning like a crazy person and throwing out all of the dog's treats and poo bags (the basket we kept them in was their favorite spot, apparently). Poor thing was desperately trying to get into the trash until my husband tossed it later that night, heh.
I hope I didn't insult anyone with the hair comment. I just have not seen anyone with that long of hair in a really long time.
The whole wedding was just the perfect storm of awesomeness.
WOW that sounds like an interesting wedding LOL
Friday, I completed all my name change fun, needless to say I will never ever go to the SS office in Framingham again, holy scary
Saturday I went to see my parents and bring them the present Hubs and I bought them on our honeymoon, then Hubs and I went out to dinner
Sunday Hubs and I went to see The Debt (awesome movie I highly recommend it) then went to dinner again since I had a living social deal to Picadilly.
Monday, we did nothing it was AWESOME
OMG I cannot get over that wedding! WOW.
That wedding sounds like a totally awesome trainwreck!
Dr. Loretta - we refuse to do the outlets on the weekends too. Go on a weeknight...so much better!
Our weekend was pretty low key which was great. Friday DH and I just stayed in - had dinner, drank a bottle of wine and relaxed - and enjoyed having our power back on!
Saturday DH had a football scrimmage in the morning while I went and got all our food from MIL and did a quick grocery trip for all the stuff that went bad. Then after the scrimmage we went to another coach's house who was having everyone over for a cookout and swimming. Then we had some friends come over Saturday night to watch college football all night.
Sunday was church and then we decided to head into Boston for the day and just walk around. We came back and got a movie from Red Box - Conspirator. Anyone who likes historical based movies, this one is good.
Yesterday was nothing special. Errands and laundry. Yippee.
That's the one I went to because we were living/working in Natick at the time. I made DH come with me, even though he didn't need to.
AF came and pretty much took over my weekend, damn her.
Slept the first half of Saturday, DH was still watching the Penn State game, so I went and got a mani/pedi, then went to the mall. Took my time there, got a yummy slice of pizza, then came home around 8 and relaxed with DH.
Sunday was our good friend's wedding in Worcester. It was the first Jewish wedding I've attended and it was lovely. The food was amazing, and the one bite of cake I got was good too. Waiters took away the rest while I was dancing!!! We had a really good time! And DH is quite the interesting dancer
Monday was a brunch at the hotel, one last chance to say goodbye to the bride & groom. And just as I had planned, came home and recovered.
Weekend went by too fast!
My bank is in Framingham so I was trying to stay near that since I knew I had to go there too, if I ever need the SS office again I will go to another one
pup, sounds like a special wedding
Dr.L, congrats to your DH on the weight loss!
LadyE, sorry again for your loss. Glad DS handled the events well and I'm sure he gave people something to smile about during an otherwise sad time.
I extended my weekend into today and it still flew by. Friday night we played volleyball with friends, Saturday we ran a bazillion errands, Sunday we played volleyball for several hours in the afternoon and then had dinner out with friends, Monday we hosted a BBQ for my family, and today I went to the Brimfield Antique show. Whew!
