School starts tomorrow!!
I'm excited and nervous at the same time. Excited cuz it's my *last* semester 
and nervous cuz it's going to be really rough 
.
But i just dropped a class that i was on the fence about taking. I was going to choreograph in the Master's Concert, but it's a lot of work for very little payoff. Plus, it required a *4hr* studio class on Thurs nights of working on dances!! No thank you!! DH is a little disappointed cuz he thinks i'm a brilliant choreographer 
, but i really need to focus on my actual school work...
...and i got a part-time job!! At American Ballet Theatre they have a ballet school, the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School of Ballet (we call it JKO for short). They're kind of changing some things around and hired a 'vice principal' for the Children's Division, and they offered me the job of the Children's Division assistant!! I'm really excited, even though it requires being at the studios every Saturday from 9am-2pm. 
I think a job like this will really help my future career.
So if i'm scarcely around this message board, it's because school is kicking my @ss!! But i'll try.

I am not looking forward to going back tomorrow. I was but then I got my schedule and it's pretty hectic. I'm going to try to talk to my boss tomorrow AM and getting it to a place where I won't go crazy. Otherwise, I'm in for a hellish year and it's gonna make me bitchy pretty much 24/7.
Other than that I'm ready. I did a bunch of organizing over the past week (stuff I had been putting forever) and think I have all the things I need to get myself going. I'm looking forward to seeing a few of my colleagues and, of course, my students. This is the first year that I get to teach the group that I helped to recruit to my program two years ago. Yahoo!
I just need to pick out some cute first-week outfits. Wed afternoon, I have a date with a couple of other teachers for a manicure. I'm sure that'll make me feel 1000 times better.

Say a little prayer that I remember how to parent my crazy child on my own. DH goes back to work today, too and after having him home all summer I am fumbling already!!
