Home Scents

Anyone have any reccomendations?  I'd preferably like something I could plug in, so that it's away from little hands.  Also, it would be nice to not have to light something - but I'm probably getting too picky.  I am a big candle person, but I wish I could find something that would dispurt scents all the time vs. just when lit...if that makes sense?

Anyone have any experience with Scentsy?  I've heard good things - but don't want to spend a ton.

Thanks!

Re: Home Scents

  • I like scentsy, but I don't think their smells last that long.

Gold Caynon is great too, They're literally the ONLY candle that I can light and smell through out the whole house.

  • I love the scentsy warmers...I own 3 of them!  I have a phobia of fire and worry about the kids tipping over a candle so that's one of my favorite things about the scentsy...no flame.

We have one in the kitchen, one in the living room and another in our bathroom.  I love that you can leave them plugged in all of the time and they never get too warm.  The wax lasts forever...in fact I usually end up wanting to change scents before all of the wax is gone. But, you can just pour the melted wax back into the container and swap it out for another one.

  • I'm a huge fan of Scentsy.  It can get a bit pricey, but WalMart has started selling the wax for the warmers.  The scents don't last as long as the actual Scentsy wax, but a brick is only a couple bucks so it doesn't feel as bad to dump it out after a week.

I also like the Bath and Body Works warmers and keep a few of those around as well.

  • We use Scentsy and really like it. Like the other gals said, the smell doesn't last as long as I would like, but they aren't terribly priced.

  • Ok - Scentsy Ladies.  A few questions...

    1. Do you leave it burning all the time?

    2.  Any favorite fall scents?

    3.  Average price for the scents?  I've been scanning Ebay - so I'd like to do a comparison for that vs. buying through a Scentsy Distributor.

    Thanks!!

  • I am a huge Bath & Body Works Wallflower fan.  I have been using them for years and usually stock up at the semi-annual sales.

    1. Do you leave it burning all the time? yes

    2.  Any favorite fall scents? Oats & Honey, Cranberry Muffin, Ocean something or other, Camu Camu

    3.  Average price for the scents?  I think you can get a '3pack' for like $14?

EDIT- I have a friend who is having a book party, if you wanted to order w/o having all that other fun stuff, LMK, and I can put an order in for you!

EDIT again- here is a link where you can look: https://jmiller0119.scentsy.us/Buy?partyId=50296263

  • I get a severe headache from most of the kinds that plug in (there must be a common chemical) and I get stuffy/headachey from candles, so I do essential oils with a diffuser. I'm not big on scents in general but I like Wood Wick (cinnamon chai is the best) because the wooden block that acts as the wick screws onto the bottle so the kids can't spill it easily. I also like K. Hall Designs diffusers. Persimmon is my fav.

Ok - Scentsy Ladies.  A few questions...

    1. Do you leave it burning all the time? I have mine plugged in all the time.  I have two nightlight ones and one medium size.  I do unplug when we are leaving for a weekend, but otherwise they are always going.

    2.  Any favorite fall scents? I love "Welcome Home" and "Autumn Sunset".  I also just picked up a vanilla bean scent from Walmart that I am enjoying as well.

    3.  Average price for the scents?  I've been scanning Ebay - so I'd like to do a comparison for that vs. buying through a Scentsy Distributor.  I honestly can't remember how much a brick is directly from Scentsy.  My SIL is a distributor, but I still buy a good amount at Walmart because its cheaper and easier.  Ssssshhhhhh, don't tell!

    Thanks!!

  • My sil just had a scentsy party.  I bought a medium warmer and a 3 pack of bricks.  I think the warmer was $25 and the bricks were $15 for the pack.  I think individual bricks are $6.

    1. Do you leave it burning all the time?  Yes...unless we are out of town for a weekend

    2.  Any favorite fall scents?  My all time favorite (and great for fall) is Apple Pie.  My newest favorite is Eskimo Kiss - has a little bit of a crisp cinnamon smell.  I have the apple pie in the kitchen and eskimo kiss in the living room and I really like the combined scent.

    3.  Average price for the scents?  I've been scanning Ebay - so I'd like to do a comparison for that vs. buying through a Scentsy Distributor. Since you don't have any of the warmers, it's cheapest to do one of the combinations.  For example, you can get a plug-in warmer (great for the bathroom and acts as a night light), a full-size warmer and 3 bars for $55.  When you want to buy new scents, it's only $14 for 3 bars. *Bars are what they call the package of wax - it's scored into 6 sections and typically you only need to burn 2 sections at a time.

    Thanks!!

  • No one has said PartyLite yet.  I LOVE PL!!  I love it so much I became a consultant just to get the stuff at a discount!

PartyLite has the warmers (like Scentsy, but in standard testing, their scents last longer).  They also have other flameless options like reeds and porcelain.

Unlike Gold Canyon, their wicks are carbonless, so they won't put black on your walls and they offer so much!!

Look at the Internet Specials section for awesome deals! :)
