Night 2!

This has been a long time coming but this is night 2 w/ out a binkie!  He put up a fight, but I hope he sleeps ok.  We were very strict w/ DS #1 and took it away right at age 2 (which is maybe longer then some).  But I was slacking w/ DS#2 and just not ready to deal w/ the meltdowns.  Hopefully we can stick it out because I can't stand it when I see the 4yr old looking kids w/ binkies!

Re: Night 2!

  • Good luck!  It is definitely tougher on some kids than others!  And yes, we were at the grocery store a couple weeks ago and saw a girl who was probably about 4 or 5 with a binky in her mouth.  M said, "She's way too old for that isn't she?"  Just a bit. :)  Keep it up and be tough!  I've heard some great strategies for getting the binky away and sometimes at CDC some of the parents would have us start the binky-weaning process and tell them what worked and what didn't.  That was always fun. :)

Wedding Planning Bio!! My Married Bio!!

  • Sara, how is M doing?  A uses her fingers and I have no idea how I am going to break her from that..lol
  • We made it through!!  It was bad for about 3 days, and now if he says binkie, I just say oh you want your blankie and just act like I don't know what he is talking about.  Main thing was just to keep him busy, for us the hardest part was the morning. He was used to using it to get back to bed or relax.. He was a BIG OL CRAB for the week. But we are all over it now Party!!!
