I'm into antique/primitive decor and I want to make some cross stitch pillows for my guest room. Where can I find simple patterns ... star, crow, etc? OR is there an online site where you can make your own? I think I need something printed on fabric though. It has been a long time since I did cross stitch and I don't know that I could count. Thanks!

I don't have much advice for cross stitching other than this site.

Back when I used to stitch, I would just find an image online and trace it and do a regular stitch, not cross.
The mac-a-doodles are my favorite because I know the designer.

Google for a local stitching store. There aren't that many left but you may luck out.
I have used 123stitch and you can always look on Hoffman Distribution's site.
Blackbird Designs might be a good start for you too. They tend toward primatives...but lots of other do too.
I was doing alot of them so I got a light box, you can just tape the pic to a window and trace on top of that. I used a water soluble marker, fine point or just a sharp pencil. I would just spray it when I was done with a spray bottle and it would come off, if there was anything showing.
I'm not sure about the brand but, I use something like this.

I also just used muslim fabric with the warm and natural batting. I like the plastic hoops better than the wood ones
I have also dyed the fabric with tea to give it more aged look.
