I need a nacho recipe does anyone have one they want to share?

Re: on the cooking subject

  • I don't have much of a recipe. Nachos are usually whatever needs to be used in the fridge!

If he doesn't want shredded cheese melted and wants "liquid" cheese like taco bell/movie theaters I use this queso recipe - for him I would just leave out the jalapeno.

  • Eh, I just make them up as I go along, with black beans, leftover taco meat & cheese under the boiler, then salsa and sour cream.

  • We usually do black beans, chopped tomato, red onion, sliced black olives, maybe jalapenos, and plenty of cheese (either shredded cheddar or monteray jack.)  We always make fresh guacamole to go with it.  I do it in two layers (chips, toppings, cheese, repeat) and stick it under the broiler quickly.

  • Dh is the nacho guy at our house. He takes seasoned shredded chicken, dices tomatoes or fresh salsa, black beans, lettuce and fresh guacamole, takes a huge bowl with chips and layers it all Throws it in the oven to melt the cheese. Add sour cream and viola. . It's kinda like a nacho lasagna. It is evil but delicious.
