Random story about strange emails/calls
Over the past few days I've received two strange emails.
One was from a Domino's pizza location in TEXAS confirming my order for two large pizzas. I was like "uhhh". Needless to say, all this did was creep me out and start a craving for pizza.
Then yesterday I got an email from a Nissan dealership in LOUISIANA, telling me that they were equipped to service my Nissan vehicle which may have been damaged in the recent flood. I don't even have a Nissan.
Last month I also somehow got intertwined in someone's work emails. Someone sent an email to me regarding some shift change at the tractor warehouse (??!?!?) and wanted to know if "I" could cover some shift. Obviously someone responded to this person because a few hours later I received another email from the woman that was like a response to that conversation. I had never written anything back. The whole situation was very strange.
I also have a knack for getting voicemails left to me that are clearly not for me, and they're never just "hey, how are you?" messages. They're like. important. life changing phone calls. My voicemail just says my number and doesn't say my name, so that's probably why. Last Christmas some older woman left a crying voicemail on my phone, saying that she got "my" phone number from so and so, and asking for forgiveness for something she did 15 years ago. How she hoped that we could get together before the holidays and talk." I felt so bad for the woman I called her back and let her know that she had the wrong number. Hopefully she eventually got the right person.
Shortly after that I got a call from some Dad letting the hockey coach know that his kid wouldn't be to the game that night because something had happened to the Grandma and they were going to the hospital. I seriously just turned to DH after that and was like "WTF is going on?"
This is all. I just felt the need to share. Feel free to share any bizarre stories about emails/calls that you may have received that clearly were not meant for you.

That is so odd! I occasionally get phone calls from unknown numbers and on the times that I do answer, I politely tell them they have the wrong number. Then they go into a rage about how that's not even possible. So then I get all mad. Most of the time they'll repeat the phone number and it never ends up being my number.
My BFF has been getting some strange calls from Isabella County Jail. An inmate is trying to reach someone and they obviously have the phone number wrong. She never accepts the charges. I told her she should see if she can call an operator there to let them know the number someone is dialing is wrong!

For about 8 or 9 years now I''ve periodically received calls from various ppl looking to speak with someone at the --- ---- Home. (I'm not putting the name because if you google it my number comes up). Somehow my number is associated with a home for people that need assisted living.
The worst was this older couple that called for years every few weeks asking to speak with thier son, Michael. I felt so bad for them because they didn't understand why my number was listed for this home.
I always get emails that are for this other Meghan girl...I don't know what her problem is but I've been getting them for years! From a college on the east coast, from her friends and family members, it's so weird. I wish I knew what her real email was so I could tell her to stop telling people the wrong one.
Last year I kept getting all these calls from Continental airlines that my flight was cancelled, I was like I don't have a flight! They kept trying to rebook me on another one.
When I was growing up our number was one off from Chi-Chi's restaurant, we got calls for them allll the time. Especially on Friday/Saturday nights.
That is really weird. About a year ago, I kept getting calls for someone about mortgage refinancing. I tried to call & let them know that they had the wrong number, but they required you to punch in your account number, which I obviously didn't have. After a while, it moved to a bunch of different collections agencies. After a couple months, I think they finally figured out that I didn't know this guy and stopped calling.
DH's number is one digit off from a home depot location. We get a lot of wrong numbers on the weekends.
For the last month or so I've been getting these weird phone calls from MA and NJ. They would call at least once a day and never leave a message. I screen all my calls coming in (I don't like talking on the phone and will try to avoid it if possible LOL) so I didn't answer cuz I didn't know who it was. Once they kept calling and calling though I figured I should answer.
I finally got my DH to answer cuz I was too creeped out, and it turned out to just be a recording asking something about installing a security system... Haven't heard from them since.
Ritzy, so what you're saying is that you want me to stop prank calling you?
