I almost typed "Monday"
But it's Tuesday!
How was everyone's weekend?
(An unmatched left parenthesis creates an unresolved tension that will stay with you all day.

Re: I almost typed "Monday"
So far this tuesday is acting like a B***H just like a monday! Weekend was good. Went to a friends out saturday afternoon/evening for a little party. Sunday we went to the Taste of Madison which is just a bunch of food and free live music, so that was nice. Other than those to events, J was hunting all weekend.
Man, I love sleeping with the windows open this time of year, but my allergies are NOT happy with me today!
Morning. Gotta love Michigan... Where it can be ninety something as a high and 40's as a low in about 3 days. I think fall is officially here. We had to close the windows yesterday since it was cloudy and only about 65 yesterday. The rest of the week should be awesome though, mid 70's and sunny.
The weekend was pretty uneventful for the most part, Hubby and I were pretty lazy on Saturday, but had my dad out for dinner and the Michigan football game that ended up being rained out. Hubs went to a car show on Sunday so I was home alone. Monday was some work around the house and grocery shopping. I was so proud of myself. I had a very strict budget of $100 and before coupons it was $95 and change, after coupons (about $9 worth cause the cashier rang in a couple that were technically doubles) I could go get the $11/5# bag of frozen chicken breasts. I still had $3 when I got home! YAY!
Today I am planning on trying to work on some crafty stuff, mainly the cover for Hubs' bow so he can actually hunt with it (it's bright blue). Some laundry, dishes, and vacuuming too of course.
Weekend was pretty good. K was in a softball tournament Saturday so Baby Q and I went shopping then went over to watch his last game. Sunday visited my parents and Monday had dinner with MIL who was pretty well behaved. Little food in the fridge so dinner will be either veggie soup in the crock pot or white chicken chili (or both so we have left overs for lunches tomorrow).
Rain here for the next two days...summer is definitely over...
Oh I how I love long weekends and miss them when they are over. Sunday we had a birthday party to go to, it was dress as your favorite holiday. We are not the dress up kinda people so I was Labor Day, I actually wasn't the only person to do this holiday but I was the only one with a real bump. Greg was Matt Holliday from the St Louis Cardinals. So basically we didn't dress up.
Yesterday, was a lazy day we went to lunch to watch some baseball. I didn't overly feel well.
I have my Gestational diabetes test tomorrow afternoon so I have a short day!
Weekend was good...we went to my sis/BIL's place outside of ATL for the weekend. I played with my nephew all weekend and got a workout lugging the baby around and playing with him. We watched UGA get slaughtered Saturday night with the stupid coaches then hit up the Braves game Sunday afternoon. Sat through the rain and all and watched them win in the bottom of the 9th. I think lil man was their good luck charm
Got back home about 11:00 last night and as wide awake so didn't fall asleep til around 1. I'm pooped and even had a parent tell me I looked tired. Thanks....
Weather is in the 80s this week and I'm stoked about that but wish it was cooler. I would love to have 4 seasons but that never happens in GA. 'Tis life..
IUI #1 10/12/11 (Bravelle + HCG + Prometrium & acupuncture) = 10/26 BFP! Beta #1=250, Beta #2= 615. 1st u/s 11/8.
The weekend went too fast for me. I was sick for most of it still, but at least I am feeling slightly better. On Sunday we went to a parade and then met up with my godparents' for a cookout on Lake Superior. Yesterday we went and picked apples with the ILs and ended up with 53 lbs. in a half an hour. Today I need to figure out something to do with them all....I see applesauce, apple butter, apple dumplings and apple pie in our future. Our kitten is also getting nutured today, poor little guy.
As far as weather goes, our windows have been shut and our furnace has been on for the last few days. Last night we had a frost advisory too. Fall has officially hit here!
I am all confused with the days. But I do know I have six more work days including today before I'm on vacation for 10 days! And off for a total of 12. Hallelujiah.
Weekend was full of family stuff - MFD's cousin's wedding on Saturday and his uncle's 60th Sunday. We stayed with his cousin and one of my good friends Gail all weekend and had a blast. His younger brother and girlfriend and his sister and husband stayed there too. His psycho sister was buzzing around, psychotic, but we managed to avoid her as much as possible. It was very apparent to the rest of the family.
Back to the grind today, and back to eating well and exercing. I took the weekend off from all good behavior.
Hope it goes well and you don't have to have the 3 hour one!!! :-)
My hubby is already asking about apple bread like I made last year. It's just a zucchini bread recipe replaced with apples instead. He likes it. Apple pie is also a must for our Thanksgiving/Christmas celebrations now that I have mastered it with the help of my Aunt a couple years ago. We are a few weeks out from that though I think. Usually it's around Halloween that I start doing that kind of cooking again. Excited about it though, I love fall!
Morning, ladies.
We had a nice, lazy weekend. Anniversary was yesterday, but we really celebrated Saturday by going to the steakhouse. I ordered a 4" cake as a surprise, and H was touched. But we both thought it needed more cake - it was too much frosting! I'm so picky. My birthday is in a month, so I'm going to make my own cake - a champagne cake recipe I made as cupcakes a while ago with almond champagne. It was to die for.
I took my glucose tolerance test last Friday morning, and I'm not going to lie, but it made me pretty sick. BUT, my doc does a 2-hour test, and fasting for 12 hours. Xtine, if you're taking it in the afternoon, do you have to fast? I'm still sick every morning until I can eat (and a little while after), so I knew this was going to be rough and took a Phenergan. Plus my lab makes you drink the entire bottle (10oz), while some of the ladies on my moms group only did 3oz. So all of these will make a difference. Anyway, I was done around noon and felt sick, so I just took the day off.
Me too. And when I checked the work schedule for the upcoming weeks, I realized I have 2.5 weeks until I'm on vacation! Of course, the week before is going to be brutal - we're doubling up on projects, but then I will be lounging on the beach in Mexico.
We're supposed to have rain most of this week, but barely hitting the 80s. I LOVE fall (though Texas can have the rain).
It's starting to look like fall here too. Fall is my absolute favorite season (the main reason we got married in Sept). I am looking forward to the cool weather, Pumpkin Spice Latte's, the fashionable boots I can wear, and so on.
Weekend went by too fast. We went to use a Living Social voucher at a restaurant in Santa Cruz only to find out that they went out of business. WTF?!?! I called LS when we were outside of the building, they offered to refund our money. We went to a cupcake place and tried a Key Lime Cupcake...OMFG they were so good. We also saw the movie Don't be Afraid of the Darek...eh, it was okay.
I hope this week goes by fast.
Lucky duck! The fasting part really sucked for me. The waiting wasn't so bad. I just brought a book and a magazine.
We're going back the Riviera Maya. I should stock up on some vitamin C because I really don't want to spend another vacation sick!
Good afternoon! My co-worker's baby was born yesterday, so this morning we all went to visit mom, dad, and baby. She is beautiful! The day has basically been a complete waste work-wise, but that's ok
I have yummy short ribs waiting in the slow cooker, and tomorrow I go pick up our anniversary cake. Thursday we are going out to dinner (sort of pre-anniversary) and this weekend we're going to Cape May for three days. So even though it's gross and rainy, I'm in a good mood!
Alright, that does it. I've been going back and forth on this for the past 2 hours. I'm going to get a Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Hahaha...sorry. The Starbucks here haven't started serving this one yet, but once they do it's on like Donkey Kong.
