HI Ladies,
I finally found some time in the morning because Myles decided to sleep in, so now I'm just relaxing waiting for the nanny to get here.
This weekend went by way to fast, I intended on calling parents, but ended up being way to busy so I'm going to make a few calls every day this week instead. I'm still trying to find the balancing act between work, home, and me time. It'll get there.
Also the weather here is really fall like this morning all it needs is the smell of burning leaves and I'd be in heaven.
Happy Monday!

Re: Good Morning!
Good morning! Oh how I love long weekends. I wish I'd been able to stay in bed today though. I think the whole exhaustion thing is hitting me now. Fun!
Derek and Tim made it through their ride ok on Sunday. 95 km in 4.5 hours (of on the bike time, about 5 hours total w/ a stop for breakfast). Derek had a hard time walking for the rest of the day, and we both needed an epic nap (him from riding, me from, well, just wanting one).
We spent most of the day yesterday working on random projects around the house. Maybe I'll actually update the house reno blog this week!
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Good Morning.
This weekend was really nice. Eli ended up getting the weekend off so he spent some much needed time with me and the boys. We got a good bit done around the house and enjoyed movies and the couch since it rained all weekend. I am not complaining about the rain it has been miseerably hot and dry here and today is perfect. The high all week is in the high 70's low 80's with lows in the high 50's. I am in heaven.
My weekend was an exhausting one full of working so I'm excited to not have to work today.
I've been so tired lately but can't sleep in even if I have the chance and it's really frustrating. Today should be full of house cleaning, a run and maybe just laying around.
Good morning! With the long weekend (four days for me, since I took Friday) and the rain, I definitely did not want to go to work this morning. It should be the normal insanity around here this week. I am going to keep to myself and give off "leave me alone" vibes as much as I can.
Jim and I are finally going to book a cruise, probably in November, and I've forgotten everything y'all told me when I asked before, so I'll ask again in a new post.
We got free tickets to the dress rehearsal of the opera (Tosca) on Thursday night, so we'll go do that this week.

Morning ladies.
Ugh I hate coming back to work after a long weekend. Why can't we work 2 days out of the week and have 5 off?
Anyhow crazy weekend for me. The boys came camping with us Friday night (lets see, Christian fell out the camper door, Zach fell off the couch, trying to keep two toddlers from not going off the deck, not crawling under the camper, ugh), needless to say it was crazy. We dropped them off at nana's on Saturday for some much needed adult time.
Yesterday, I finally got the boys haircut, but then dealt with 2 miserable kids all day. Bed time was NOT fun, and they finally fell asleep around 8. Then I had to finish laundry and try to get some other housework done.
That was my weekend in a nutshell, have a great day ladies.
Hello all. So jealous of your long weekend as I had to work yesterday. It's definitely feeling like fall here as well, with the rain and much cooler temps. Great. I think I saw somewhere that there's possiblity of early winter for us, with maybe some snow in October or November
. That will not go over too well around here, I can tell you that!

Good morning!
This weekend went by to fast, even with the extra day off. Saturday we went to a high school friend's wedding and got to see some old friends so that was nice. Sunday was Eddie's birthday so we had a BBQ at my MIL house. Yesterday I ended up drafting some bridge designs by hand with was a PITA. I just can't wait to put them on AutoCAD.
At least today we had a very fresh morning, we have temperatures in the high 60's low 70's. I'm definitely enjoying it.
Have a great day ladies!
Good morning! It's been beautiful here over the last couple of days. Usually by now I have to pull out the winter jackets. But, I've figured out that if I put up my fall wreath the warm weather seems to last longer. We are above average with almost 30C weather!
I have to take Gibson to school and then come home and fold laundry and then go pick Russ up from the airport. I'm really excited to see him. There is a LOT of drama unfolding between a couple of the moms at school and somehow I got put in the middle of it (it has nothing to do with me other than the fact that I'm friends with all people involved). So I'm looking forward to having an excuse to not talk to these women so much over the next week.
Have a great day!
We had a good, but definitely busy, weekend. Saturday we had the farmer's market in the morning. I think we ended up having our best week of the summer. Then we dropped the trailer off at home and went back into town for my MBA reunion tailgate. We had unseasonably warm temperatures on Saturday (highs in the upper 90s). The tailgate was fun but definitely hot. Following the tailgate we went to a classmates house for drinks.
Sunday my mom came into town. We shopped for a while and then went to see The Help. We had a lot of fun spending the day together. She spent the night at my house and went home yesterday afternoon. So yesterday I did some laundry and a little bit of housework, and then I went to bed early as I was completely exhausted from the busy weekend.
Good morning, ladies.
Good weekend here - long hike Saturday, then friends over Sunday for a bbq, then a much-needed lazy day yesterday. I did manage to make good progress on a diaper cake I'm making for a coworker's baby shower. I think it's going to turn out cute after all.
And, I fell on my ass in the lobby at work this morning. I wore new sandals with a higher heel than I'm used to, and had my hands full with my laptop and 2 dozen muffins. I'm so embarrassed.
Have a great day, everyone!
Good morning!
This weekend was so nice and lazy. I did get some running in when It wasn't raining. I ran my 5k in 34 minutes so I'm pretty excited. I just need to keep it up.
I had a blast at the Dragon Con parade. We got a great spot on a planter so I could actually see everything.
I need to get my brain working. I had such a relaxing weekend my brain has stopped and doesn't seem to want to work.
Good Morning!
The long weekend was much needed for me. Thursday night I started having contractions (very painful ones) 7-10 min apart so the Dr. told me to take it easy. We did get a lot accomplished around the house this weekend. We officially have everything put together for the baby and only have the nursery left to do. Paint and arrange furniture they we are all done!
We did meet up with some friends Sunday for lunch and ran a ton of errands. We also went to visit DH's cousin, wife and their brand new baby at the hospital.
Have a great day ladies!
Morning everyone.
Amie, how was The Help? I loved the book and have been looking forward to seeing the movie. I'm waiting for my mom to finish the book, and then we are going to go see it.
This weekend was pretty good, and fairly relaxing. Friday, B and I baby sat for a friend's 4 month old and then hung out with her when she got home. Saturday, we took my grandpa to dinner and got to hang out with the cats. I can't wait for the remodelling to be done so the kitties can come home. The house feels strangely empty without them. Sunday, we relaxed and cleaned the house, reorganized the laundry room, and cleaned out the second bath for demo. Our bathroom is now 95% done, and it looks amazing. Once the glass doors are in, I'll snap some pics to share. Sunday night I went to a birthday party for a law school friend. It was great to catch up with everyone there. Yesterday, I did a bunch of work, and did some additional things around the house. And now that I'm at work today, I'm already looking forward to weekend.
I would agree. I just recently finished the book, so the changes that they made were easy for me to spot, but there weren't that many of them. Loved the book and definitely enjoyed the movie as well. I would definitely recommend it.
Good morning!
We did a lot of being lazy this weekend and we both enjoyed it! Friday night we made beer can chicken and it was amazing.
Saturday we lounged around and did some grocery shopping and errands.
Sunday we laid around and I worked on some laundry and had an amazing dinner.
Monday we spent about 5 hours at the beach with SIL and the kids then DH and I packed a picnic and wine and went to watch the boats come into the Locks.
I also started reading the Help this weekend and DH is OOT this week, so I'm hoping to finish it.
Good morning ladies! We had a fun, laid back weekend which is just what I needed. On Friday we went to a friends barbecue. It was nice to see everyone and just get hang out. On Saturday we spent all of the morning cleaning and doing laundry. We ran our usual errands later in the day and then got all caught up on True Blood that night.
Sunday we went to the mall to do some shopping. I got a bunch of clothes for Olivia since she's already outgrowing most of what she has. Really good deals at JC Penny too which was great. Yesterday we didn't do anything. I wanted to hang out at home and catch up on the DVR which is exactly what we did.
Today is the usual. Not sure what we're having for dinner yet except that it will include ground beef since that's what I took out of the freezer this morning. Hope you all have a great day.
Good morning!
We had a busy weekend. Saturday we visited ILs. It kind of sucked for me because they pretty much stole Darian away and kept him out of my sight for hours. (Every time I went to check on him, they practically shooed me away, like 'stay away while I play with your cool toy' kinda vibe.) I did not expect that and was too weirded out to speak up at the time, but had I known that that's how the visit would be, I would have either brought something to do or planned to go out with V.
Sunday, we missed church but went out for dim sum and booked a reservation for Darian's baptism.
Last night my parents came over for dinner. They live in a part of town that has a lot of awesome Chinese food so they brought over a roast duck. I haven't had roast duck in a long time, it was so good.
Oh! And in other big news, Darian slept a 6-hour stretch for the first time this weekend!

Good afternoon, all. This weekend was great--a wonderful birthday dinner for the H on Friday, errands over and done with on Saturday morning, a trip downtown on Sunday to see the Corcoran and the MLK Jr. Memorial, and time to relax on Monday. Lots of fun, but I was sorry to see it end.
Tonight I've got plans to visit our co-op (10% off day for members!) and stock up on some smaller grocery items. Then I'm on my own for a bit while H goes to some networking reception. I plan to make some sweet potato gnocchi and curl up to read the latest book I have to review for our website.
Hope everyone's having a great day!
I am completely exhausted today. Jackson finally slept in 4 hour stretches last night, but DH didn't wake up for any of his feedings. He's been wide awake since 5 this morning, so I'm running on empty. Thankfully, it's cool enough out that I can sit with some hot cocoa or cider today to just mellow out.
I have a whole bunch of books that I got from someone, but I really want to read something new and fun, rather than the books I already have. Is it dumb to forego what's on the shelf and download something new to the kindle? I'm thinking a new Jodi Picoult or maybe start one of the series you ladies are always talking about.
Good Afternoon! Today is the first day of school with kids, so this is the first free minute I have had today. I'm happy to be back and see the kids, but man am I exhausted!
Our weekend was awesome. Friday DH and I did happy hour and got sushi. Saturday we had our friend's wedding, which was a blast. Yesterday we had our friends over for a BBQ. Even though it rained, we still had a good time.
It is supposed to rain here all week, but at least it's cooled down a bit.
AHH! Today was my first day back and it was crazy! My kids were good but the schedule is really different from last year so it is going to take some getting used to. Luckily I got up at 4:30 to run this morning, so I get to relax this afternoon.
This weekend was great...Saturday was a lazy day and then Sunday we headed to Boston to watch the Deutsche Bank golf tournament and it was awesome. Beautiful day and we got to hang out with BIL, his GF, and one of my best friends. Then we spent Sunday night in Boston with my friend and came home early Monday for grocery shopping, et al.
