1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? I feel really great! I feel much better than I ever felt with Nolan, which is so surprising to me. Every time I have an u/s or hear the HB's I'm just in awe because I honestly don't feel pregnant. My next appt is 2 weeks from yesterday, then I start going every 2 weeks to the MFM plus every 4 weeks to the OB.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? I think he's getting excited. We started a small "registry" last night and he was very helpful. We were against the idea of having another shower for #2 but since it's #2 and #3, our friends and family are insisting. I think it will be very small, but even though we feel greedy asking for gifts... again. :-/ He's also going to the bank today to get pre-approved for a car loan. We found a minivan that is perfect for us. I feel like it's too early to buy it BUT God forbid if something did happen, we need a bigger vehicle anyway. So, it looks like if all goes according to plan, we'll be minivan owners this weekend. Yahoo. haha
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned?Family is VERY excited. Our friends... well, some of them seem jealous, some seem happy... who knows.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? We are trying to figure out what the heck to do about a stroller/strollers. We're getting a double snap & go for at first, but then after that we're lost. The nice ones are $400+! I could really go for a massage... but that's not really in the cards right now.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share? I appreciate all of your advice on maternity clothes shopping in the last week or so! I never responded to some of your posts, but I'm definitely taking them into consideration. While DH is van-buying this weekend, my mom and I are clothes shopping!

1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? I am feeling ginormous! And I still have a long ways to go! No appointments this week.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? Not really sure how DH feels. He has zero patience and Kodi has been having a lot of tantrums lately so he's probably stressed about having another kid thrown in the mix. Pregnancy related, he's been half-heartedly helping come up with baby names.
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned? DH's family was very excited. My mom hasn't really acted excited at all, maybe because we live so far away she feels like she's not going to be a big part of the baby's life like she was for Kodi. She even asked me if it was planned, she has no idea that we were trying for 8 months before we finally got pregnant. I think in general, there is less excitement about this pregnancy from most people because it's our second.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? For baby, a woven wrap. They're so expensive and I already have about 8 other babywearing contraptions. For me, I would love to have some cute and stylish maternity clothes. Since I hardly leave the house, it just seems pointless to spend money on materrnity clothes that will only be worn for a few months and then never again. I have a handful of winter stuff left over from my first pregnancy and I have lots of big hoodies that I'll be wearing with yoga pants.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share? I bought paint this weekend for the nursery!

1.) How are you feeling? Any new milestones or changes in symptoms you'd like to share? Any appointments coming up this week? I am feeling pretty good. This weekend was a little rough, but that is more from allergies than pregnancy. I am starting to get tired when I have to chase around DS1
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? He is doing great and is being really supportive about taking the lead with Charlie.

If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned?Our family is excited, but not overly enthusiastic. My brother and his fiance are expecting their first in January and that has kind of taken all of the attention off of us, which is actually a good thing. I honestly think people have forgotten I am pregnant, which cuts down on the un-needed pre-baby talk we had with the first. My dad was super funny this weekend, he was a little (ok a lot) drunk and started in on how he thinks its unfair that you don't get a shower for a second baby. He was "appalled" at the lack of attention we have been getting... I told him I didn't mind.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? Really, nothing. We were pretty set with DS1 and everything is still in great shape for #2.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share? This is pretty much just a continuation of the above about how people are forgetting that we are pregnant. I have always had a weird relationship with MIL. I like her, but I feel like she isn't truthful and is way too concerned about what people think. Anyways, this weekend we were talking about holidays. She made a big deal out of how she doesn't think it would be a big deal if we don't go to Michigan (5 hour drive) to see her family this year at Thanksgiving. UMM... are you fricking INSANE? A trip for thanksgiving was NEVER in consideration. Thanksgiving is EIGHT DAYS from our due date. I told her that if she or her family had thought we were coming than they obviously are morons. I might have been a little harsh, but she really didn't realize that I was going to be 39 weeks pregnant.

Nothing new, no appointments this week. I'm feeling great though.

He is fine. He isn't up to much pregnancy related, other than having more food cravings that I am. We don't have much to do for this one.

It wasn't as big of a reaction this time. After the m/c everyone knew we were trying, so it wasn't a huge deal. Plus, because of the m/c they didn't want to get too excited. Since it's another girl, all we have been getting are comments that we have time to try again for a boy. Ugh, that is getting old fast.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have?
I would love an Ergo or some other fancy carrier, but won't buy one. For me, I'd love a massage, but that isn't going to happen either.

I'm normally okay while at home/away from work on weekends, but work is awful. I really can't figure out why. I'm currently blaming it on the building
but probably need to stop drinking my decaf tea and switch to straight water. Blah. No appointments this week.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? DH is super bugging me about going to the gym and lifting weights etc. I totally understand because I am SO tired/out of breath walking even 1/2 mile, and I just ran my first 5k back in March.
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned? We've told all our friends and family, they are all excited for us. Some of our friends are more excited than others. I think family is weirded out that I don't tell them a lot, especially my MIL. But, compared to my SIL, I've been totally fine. She had AWFUL m/s, so I don't mention the little that I deal with. I'm generally a lot more private than they are anyway.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? There's nothing that I'm lusting after I don't think. DH and I have talked about getting a better stroller rather than a travel system, and he really wants a 3 wheel with pneumatic wheels. So that will likely be our big splurge. Right now I'd love a massage, manicure, or chiropractic session.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share? DH just left this morning for 16 days to work the fires in Texas. I had the HARDEST time not crying like a baby on my way to work. He was in GA for the same back when I found out we were pg in June and was totally fine
I think it's going to be a rough few weeks.

Not much new happening. I'm starting to get more uncomfortable and I'm having more "real" braxton-hicks contractions. Last time I just had some random tightening of my belly. This time they are more crampy and feeling more like my contractions when I was in labor.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related?
We don't have much to do that is directly pregnancy related. We are working on getting the house more organized. Yesterday we bought lumber for Sam to build better shelves in the unfinished part of our basement so that it has more usable storage.
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned?
To tell family I took a picture of Marshall in his "big brother" shirt and emailed that out to Sam's family. For my family I skyped with my mom and Marshall was wearing the shirt, she figured it out pretty quick. Everybody seemed just as excited as they were with Marshall, so that's good.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have?
Hmmm...I don't know about this one. We are able to reuse pretty much everything from Marshall, so we only have to buy another crib, which I am doing some time this week. And for me I have no idea what I would do or get...I am REALLY bad about spending money on myself...I never do it!

We still don't know what is going on with Sam's training in Colorado. There is a chance he may have to go, which means that he may have to miss the birth of Baby K...which would reallly suck. They did realize that the deferrment letter he had sent in for it had been sent to the wrong commander, so hopefully this commander is a little more understanding.
I talked to the dr. last week and they won't do a c-section any earlier than 39 weeks. So now if Sam ends up having to go I will see if they will schedule it for a weekend and Sam can fly home for the weekend. But fingers crossed we don't have to worry about that and he can do the training at a later date.

Just tired but I guess you will have that with an almost 11 month old on the move. No appointment this week. We had one last week and this stubborn lil boy or girl was hiding, took them a while to find the heartbeat with the doppler.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? I think in the beginning DH was a little overwhelmed, but now he has had time to get used to the idea of having 2 lil ones. He's been talking about doing our 3rd bedroom as the nursery. Doesn't really want to discuss names until we find out what we are having since we cannot agree on a boy name. Oct. 13 is the big day
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned? just told family and friends after our appt. thursday. I think some were shocked, but everyone was excited and happy for us. I would say they seemed just as excited as they did for Evan.
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? I really want a moby wrap this time around..but I may just borrow a friends. I could really go for a massage or pedi!!

Feeling great! I wish the whole pregnancy could be like this. Biked 14 miles this weekend in fact. I've been finally feeling movement over the past week. So cool! Now I wish I could feel her all the time.

No changes in symptoms. I have a regular appt coming up on Thursday. I will get the results of my glucose test - but, if I failed it they would have called me by now, so I am not worried.

Like some of the others, we don't have to do much to prepare for this baby - so he hasn't been up to much.

Everyone is just as excited about #2 as they were about #1. I didn't expect that, but it's nice!

Hmmm I am not sure about this. I am not sure there is anything I want but don't have, or want but won't buy. We will need to buy some more cloth diapers, but I am going to try to restrain myself

We finally picked a name - only took 7 months! With Jack we knew right away, so it was really bothering people (not even us, OTHER people) that we haven't had a name for this one for so long.

I get nauceous if I don't eat/snack every two hours. I'm surprised at how tender my nipples are and god help me, when I transition from hot to cold, crazy. Our appointment on Sept 19th feels forever away.
2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? He is crazy excited and wants to tell the world right now. He is currently reading What To Expect When You're Expecting cause we haven't been able to make it to the library or book store to get a book geared toward him.

We have told 3 people so far, my best friend, my co-worker and one of his best friends. We are planning to tell everyone after the first appointment in two weeks. Feeling pregnant (duh)! Not sleeping well, nauseas, round ligament pain, some heartburn/acid reflux. Baby was slowing down her activity over the past week, but last night and this morning she's apparently taking gymnastics classes. She's ALL over the place! I love feeling her move around. I have an ultrasound (fetal weight since I was measuring 3 weeks ahead at last appointment) and regular OB appointment. Excited to see the baby again!

He's been calm and level headed. He's been a great support and is reading his own books. He's helping me remember to do things, doing things that need to be done, cooking when I don't feel good, etc. I've become much more emotional/hormonal in the 3rd trimester (I thought I was going to make it without the crazy hormonal breakdowns), but he's been fantastic with it. He does encourage me to NOT watch things that I know are sad, because then it's just about a given that I will start to cry.

Everyone is ecstatic when we told them. This is grandchild #5 for my parents, but it will be the first that will be in the same town as them. This will be the first for DH's parents, they both live out of town (about 1.25 and 2 hours away). We told everyone in person. Lots of screaming, tears, clapping, etc. by them (not us).
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have?
I'd love to have a 2009-current Honda Pilot, but that won't happen (we'll be getting a much older one, that we can afford). I can't really think of anything other than that, but I'm pretty simple and don't need extravagant things. DH was planning on getting me a gift after the baby, and asked if I wanted to help pick it out, and I nixed the idea. I don't want a gift for having the baby. Money will be tight once she comes and I don't need something that isn't practical, especially since we are going to be buying a car, just bought a DSLR, etc.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share?
Baby shower gifts have started to come in and it's so exciting to be getting things for her, and it makes it feel more real. I'm also REALLY happy that we have a great start on our cloth diapers, some family has been buying them, which is fantastic (we have some family who uses them also, so I was hoping those people would buy some and they have). We have about half of what we need so far, which is a great relief. We were hoping we wouldn't have to buy too many ourselves.

2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? DH is still really frustrating me-he spoiled a lot of time with my parents this weekend by being generally cranky and rude to me for no reason. I gave him a swift kick in the ass yesterday and am hoping to see him get his act in gear.

We are slowly telling more people and everyone has been thrilled so far. Still have a lot of friends and extended family to tell... a little nervous about telling my new boss (working part time for a builder now).
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? Right now, mommy would like daddy to not be such a jerk. But I would love an awesome baby hutch/dresser from Pottery Barn but not only is it $$, it is way too big for our tiny nursery.

He had been the one saying he wouldn't get excited until he saw a heartbeat etc this time and now he clearly can't contain his excitement. 5.) Anything else you'd like to share? I feel like my symptoms are stronger and more obvious this time around. I am hopeful that this is a positive sign that things are going the right way. I am very nervous, but cautiously optimistic. I can't wait until that first u/s.

2.) How is DH feeling? What is he up to pregnancy related? DH is doing well too. He's been a huge help with getting Mads ready in the morning lately now that I'm back to work (I'd be lost without him) We both have occasional moments of panic over the thought of parenting two kids & how much things more things are going to change, but overall we're really excited. Baby-wise we're struggling with finding a name & trying to decide on paint colors for the nursery.
3.) If you have told your families/friends, how did they react? If this is #2+, are they just as excited? If you haven't told yet, when do you plan to and do you have anything special planned? Everyone was really excited for us. My parents had an idea that it was coming, but were still surprised that it happened so quickly. the ILs were a bit more suprised (they had no idea we'd been TTC) and asked if it was planned. When we told them, everyone was just as excited as they'd been when we told them about Mads, but things are a bit calmer/quieter now than they were the first time around (which is fine by me!)
4.) What baby item are you lusting after but probably won't spring for? What "mommy" item would you love to have? I've definitely been eying all sorts of new double strollers with the options to have the kids facing every which way, but I don't think we can justify it (since we don't really "need" it obviously). Mommy-wise, probably some more new maternity clothes & a massage.
5.) Anything else you'd like to share? Life has been so hectic the past few weeks!! I'm back to teaching which I love and am so happy for, and Mads started daycare. Adjusting has been hard on the poor girl (dropping her off has been heartbreaking!), but apparently she's been doing better during the day each day.... no crying bouts today, woo-hoo!!! Between that and the arrival of her two bottom molars (that came out of nowhere!) she's been a mess, waking up at 5am lately.... not so awesome. But, she has finally figured out how to say "love you" back to us..... it is by far my absolute favorite thing in the world!!

I wanted the Baby Jogger City Mini Double and the BOB double jogging stroller but I won't be getting either of them. DH's boss gave us his old double stroller so I can't convince DH that we need to spend that much on another. I'll probably just get a jogging stroller from CL to use at the beach.5.)
