Congrats 9-4ers

Congrats to those celebrating an anniversary today and this past weekend.

What did you do to celebrate?

Re: Congrats 9-4ers

  • (9/5) Emma J went with her bio-father all day so DH and I went to an independent movie and lunch in Harvard Square. We traded gifts - he gave me a Pandora house charm and I gave him the Kama Sutra (more for when I'm little again and we can get all crazy) EmbarrassedSmile Later we made a quick stop at his parents' house to check on his dad (he just had a knee replacement) and then cuddled and caught up on True Blood and Curb :)

  • 9/5 - we went to Ocean City, NJ, for the evening.  Ate at a restaurant called the Bloom N Tulip, spent a $50 gift certificate I won from a radio station at a jewelry store and bought 2 pairs of earrings, and strolled the boardwalk. He bought me a nice Carriage Timex watch.

  • DH and I both worked on our anniversary 9/4 so we celebrated on 9/5. We went to a really nice dinner at a restaurant overlooking the Hudson River. After that we each had a piece of our anniversary cake (our baker makes you a replica of the top tier of your wedding cake for your first anniversary).

We also exchanged gifts since we weren't able to go away after all. He bought me a Tiffany's necklace and my paper present hasn't come in yet, but apparently he went all out. Our first dance song was "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds. He contacted Ben Folds manager and is waiting for them to send my gift?!? Best husband ever.

  • Thank you!

We also celebrated out anniversary this past weekend.

We had a picnic under the arch where we got married on Sunday, and last night we did chef's table at Talula's Table.  It's supposedly the hardest reservation in america to get.  You have to call one year in advance of the date you want to book at 7am.  The seat a single table in the front and one chef's table a night.  Chris still won't tell me how he managed to land the reservation.
