Woo Hoo!

So this weekend we really blew the budget! It started off small with an old pinball machine and kept increasing into a new bedroom set and a stupidly overpriced (but oh so comfortable) mattress! So excited to have a king bed!

In the next two weeks we need to move everything out of our bedroom into the spare bedroom (where our set now will end up) and paint our bedroom. I'm thinking gray, but not sure because the wood is dark on the set. Maybe a light-ish gray.

Actually here's a picture of our set with some gray-ish walls, but this room is a lot brighter than ours:

nice! are those drawers under the bed for extra storage? love it.

I actually love the wall color here - a nice blue/gray would be so soothing and great for a bedroom.

Funny, I think the walls in that photo look grayish green. Must be the different computer screens.

We were really looking for under bed storage because our closet isn't that big for two of us. There are two drawers at the foot of the bed, which I'm pretty excited about. I also looked at some that were on the sides (which did provide more storage), but ultimately we liked this set better.

I think this color is growing on me too. I want a neutral color on the walls so we have more options for curtains/bedding. Right now the room is a bright gold/yellow. It's not hideous...but it's just not us.

My IL's have a pinball machine, I love going over there to play! We hope to get one someday. I love your new bed. The one thing I tell people who are shopping for a new bed is to get a king, I like my space when I sleep!

I love this set!! We want to replace our guest bed with a set that has the drawers for the storage. To me this is one of those ideas, why didn't I think of this? I really like the wall color, may a shade or two lighter to compensate for the light difference in your room. Also, get the paint with the primer, I painted our kitchen which was a dark brown to sunshine (pale yellow) one coat!

I love the color silver sage from Restoration Hardware... DH and I tried to cheap out and get the color from Lowes and it wasn't the same-- pretty none the less, but not the same.

I love the bedroom set and the wall color. I agree with pp that said maybe go a shade or two lighter to compensate for the difference in lighting. Or you could aways add some extra lightening to help brighten up the room more.

Beautiful bedset. We have one with the storage at the foot of the bed as well. I love having that little bit extra. We don't have nightstands so we don't have that space. We use floating shelves instead as our nightstands.

I say go a tad bit lighter. I really love gray walls, especially dark ones but with your darker bedroom set I think light would look nice.
